I had a private screening tonight. Just because I was the only one there at the 11:00 pm show at the theater. And the movie was very good.

That sounds good, Admiral. I had not heard of that movie. The last time I had a theatre all to myself was when I went to the late showing of Thelma and Louise!

Ever since the first time I saw that movie I've been dying to know how they
filmed the scene where he gets hit by the van (or truck, or whatever). I've
rewatched it just to see if there are any obvious cuts from the time he leaves
the woman he's talking to, to the time he's hit, and there aren't any. The camera
follows him from the time he's talking to her to the time he's hit. So how in the
heck did they do the thing where he's clearly, violently hit?

I'd truly like to know the answer before I die.

Last night I watched the first two episodes of Amazon's

The Man in the High Castle.

I can't say that without channeling Frau Blücher.

This leads to info that is mostly about the manga, though there is some info about the anime, which is actually well done, and for once the ladies shouldn't object, no scantily clad women, Me I think the women are more realistically portrayed in this anime.

Have now finished watching the first season(US)/series(UK) of
The Man in the High Castle
and I recommend it.

Has anyone else watched it? If so, do you think they're saying that the guy
at the end was TMITHC? You know - that guy? (Don't want to spoil it.)

I guess I'll watch season(US)/series(UK) two, eventually, but I think it
wrapped up pretty well at the end of one.

Have you read the book? I haven't, but I'm guessing that season(US)/series(UK)
one was the book, and that season(US)/series(UK) two will move off
from the book's story. Am I right?
