Yes. Australia of all places on the earth they rocked.
Weird:)

They could go anywhere, for they had learned the universal language.....music.

That's true. But funny you picked a song that is very swedish.
Dance band Blackjack visited BingoLottos dance evening and performed one of their biggest hits "Nothing will stop us now":)

Watching, listening, what's the diff? It's youtube.

Another great KC hit....this stuff had more staying power than anybody realized at the time. And it's coming back, believe it or not.
There are actually some new disco venues opening up, and people are flocking to them.

And Donna Summer kept it up until her sad passing a few years back....
Still luv u, Donna.
You ain't heard this cut until you've heard it on a few thousand watt system with an 18" subwoofer handling the bottom end.
Cut to 4:05....bass, then the snare comes in, and then the guitar, and then that funky rhythm, and then the string backup, and then the horn section.

Still have the disco vinyl LP...those were special discs, cut at a deeper groove depth...all 17 minutes on one side of a disc that occasionally would rip the tip off of a cartridge. They went beyond the RIAA specs, and if rumor is true, a few recording lathes were actually burnt up trying to master those discs. Some went so far as to not use the other side of the blank, because the grooves were so deep.

LOL...yes, pro DJs always had a spare cart or two on hand once this was known.

Orgasmic? Oh, yeah.

My handle? Just DJMARK.
That came to an abrupt end one night when I got into my cups and tossed on Nugent's cut Stranglehold. They kept dancing. The crowd luved it, but the owners of the club thought it was 'a cut too far'.....
I had moved onward, so then it was time for my blues era. I have learned a lotta things since then. Punctuated by my presence at Stevie Ray Vaughan's last show at Alpine Valley.
I have never been quite the same after that.

Musical adventures of the kittyman have gone far and wide ever since then.

Watching music live is great.
Tomorrow the Boss will play here again for the fourth time this summer.
Together with Steve van Zandt of course.

When I googled it, I saw something about watching it on the ESPN website.
I suspect, if you try to do that, you'll be asked to identify your cable
provider.

Thanks, Suzie. That's exactly the problem I had when I tried to use the ESPN website. We don't subscribe to their tv channel.

As far as Amazon Prime Video goes, don't you have to buy a membership to use that?

Yes, but you could sign up for their free trial and then cancel once you've
watched the series. You'd have to really want to watch it to do that, I
think.

I think Amazon now gives one the option to sign up just for the video service.
I could be wrong, but I think I saw that once not long ago. As for the whole
Amazon Prime thing, it's a once-a-year charge of $99. I spend too much money
on the website so the free shipping is a good thing for me.

Showtime was having a "free weekend" that extended to its shows on
Hulu, so I took the opportunity to watch the last season of Nurse
Jackie. Unfortunately I started late last night and the free weekend
ended before I finished the season. I guess I'll have to pay for the
last six (iirc) episodes on amazon prime. :-(

Game of Thrones..........

A fool takes the bait.

I have watched just a bit of this series with Lori.
I shall be watching more.

This one scene is the best I have seen and I might have taken the best out of context.

But this is a glorious scene.
Her simple gift of a dragon buys her an army...and it was not such a gift after all.

Toothless the Dragon has nothing on this guy.............................

LOL....I am going to save that for when I finally get deeper into it with Lori.
She has been begging me for years now and I do not know why I have resisted so much. The whole genre just put me off. Not sure why. Kinda like the whole Moonlight saga, until she dragged me kicking and screaming to the theatre and then I was hooked too.
I shall be there with the rest of you once I get the hook of it, I am sure.
Meow, please no real show stoppers, can I watch that link without it being a spoiler for me?

Meow?

I am still awed by the scene I did see/.
By her boldness and wickedness and deception.
But also by the vast production of the set.
I am sure most of it was CGI, but even the very
inception of it was a grand undertaking.

I also hold a very impressive whip here./

I asked not very impolitely, and was modded for doing so, but................

Shall you follow me?

Meow, I ask.
I do not command.
I ask.
I wish.
You all have free will, as do I.
I only wish to ask who shall be with me and who shall not.
It is fine if you shall not join me, march as free men and women then.

Not mine to command then.
