Is THAT legal? (Trade Federation to Palpatine/Sidious: "Is that LEGAL?")
The short answer is yes. The question is 'Is it Moral?', probably not depending on your personal definition of 'moral'(Hiliary, Soros, Buffett, Gates, Bloomberg, et. al. do it as it is an accepted risk of swimming with sharks, you stand the chance of being the meal.).

Very, very true...

VERY often, 'legal' does not coincide with 'moral' or 'ethical'...

Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016.

Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power.

Yes we do. Because it defines what is moral/ethical. But some people reject the law that everyone has agreed upon and substitute a book. When they differ some take it to be moral/ethical to personally commit murder to enforce the book over the law.

BUT and it is large. If you knew when you set up your corporation, and signed contracts, that it would run to bankruptcy court, that is criminal fraud.

Just as bad as lying to the people to become President?

Too bad that Political Lies. Are not held to the same criminal standards, as Business Lies.

Political Lies have destroyed more lives.

All is fair in love and war. Love and war is politics.

Two problems with your statement. first being the responsibility of due diligence on the part of the investor/partner/lender. Second being that pre-planned bankruptcy strategies have been taught for years by many prestigious business schools as a major component of business plans at inception.

So anything is OK if you can get away with it. Why are we wasting our money with a legal system?

You are confusing investing with contracts. Like most you should keep your money in the mattress and pay cash COD.

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=pen&group=00001-01000&file=484-502.9
484. (a) Every person who shall...knowingly and designedly, by any false or fraudulent representation or pretense, defraud any other person of money, labor or real or personal property, or who causes or procures others to report falsely of his or her wealth or mercantile character and by thus imposing upon any person, obtains credit and thereby fraudulently gets or obtains possession of money, or property or obtains the labor or service of another, is guilty of theft.

I will pay you for XYZ is a representation. If you know it to be false (you are going to run to bankruptcy court and not pay) and you obtain something by this representation you are guilty.

So if you hire people (contract) to build a casino and you know it will flop, you are a felon.

The pre-planned scheme is for shell corps that all own each other. It isn't fraud to defraud yourself. Getting the tax man too, well, if there wasn't a loophole it would be tax fraud too.

Using bankruptcy for financial gain seems contradictory to me no matter how it's done. Even if it's done "legally", I don't like the premeditated version of it.

What is the value of Trump's Golf Courses?

Trump claims his golf courses are worth tens of millions. Until the tax bill arrives.

One of the most stark gaps in value assessments is centered at the Trump National Golf Club Westchester, a private club in the small village of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. After he rebuilt and reopened the course in 2002, Trump gloated about its majesty to a New York Times reporter, asking, “How would you like to see the single most expensive hole in the United States?”

In his financial disclosures, Trump valued the course at more than $50 million. But last year, his attorneys filed papers with the state declaring the “full market value” of the course was far lower: about $1.4 million.

And now, he is NOT going to mass-deport millions of illegal immigrants.

Trump now says he plans to legalize some undocumented immigrants

Sources tell Univision that Trump plans to announce a major shift on immigration policy next week. The Republican candidate met Saturday with Hispanic leaders who said he told them he regrets prior comments about Mexicans.

Now I must confess, that disappoints me just a bit.
He is changing his stance to cater.
Kissing up for votes.
I have expressed my sentiment many times here....I have no problem with any legal immigrant of any race, religion, or point of origin.

It's the illegals I have a problem with, and I thought Trump was going to deal with that in the manner I wish it to be dealt with.

If that's what it takes to get him into office where he can begin the real overhaul.

Howard Roarke is such an interesting character, it's taken me 1 year to get through 1/4 oof the book. Reading Limbaugh went so much more quickly. Even "Earth in the Balance" went more quickly!
