Islam is a religion of peace...

...So that begs a question...

...WHY do Islamic nations have armed forces with some having nuclear weapons after all they are a peaceful people?

Yes Christian nations are all of course nations of war, why else do they have armies and nuclear deterrents.

I will show you a map where ISIS is located. There will be one in Libya, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Tunisia and so on. I will also show you a map of islamist radical breeding grounds in France , England, Germany and so on. Britain and France can provide you with a list of all the many mosques that were closed down for having large caches of weapons.

Yes, our enemy is not Islam; but all of our enemies are Islamists and want to follow Islamist Wahhabism and Sharia Law; and they want to execute those who will not convert. I believe this all part of Koranic dictate. So we may be at war with only the more devout Muslims or "Mooselims" as our politicians like to mispronounce the transliteration.

I feel sorry for all of my really good and wonderful Muslim friends from Turkey, Egypt, Iran, North Africa etc--they are being tainted by the uprising in religious zealotry. I weep for the poor women I see wearing a scarf as they go about daily life.

This stupid idea of fighting an idea is the same stupid idea

Hey, Bubba, we fought Nazi-ism and Hitler, and we fought the idea of superior races and the Devine Nationalism of Japanese superiority.

Now we have to fight the idea that everyone must live under Sharia law or die. We must fight it vigorously where it foments overseas (allies invited to participate ) and we must fight it ruthlessly when and if it arrives here in large measure.

When I was in Iran. No woman in Northern Teheran ( a city of six million back in 1978) wore the Chador or even a scarf. It was a provision of the marriage of Farah Diba to the Shah that women be freed from this medieval form of female enslavement. By the way, the practice of covering women stems from the idea that the Harem women would not be subject to the attentions of other admirers if they couldn't see the women in the Harem except for a small portion of their faces or maybe just their eyes.

The whole practice is a perverted sexual anomaly that is unfitting in this the third Millennium. The educated women in Iran that I knew and worked with now have to wear at least a scarf. A good many of them have fled to the west--I predict that they will lead the next revolt in the cities of Iran.

My GF worked and lived in Teheran back in the late 70's for about seven years.
As you say very few wore scarfs and they who did was mostly from nomadic tribes.
But when Khomeini seized power everything changed.
It took only a few hours and suddenly all women wore scarfs.

Yes. Religion is bad for democracy.
And the US republican party now wants that laws should be based on pre-medieval texts called the Bible!

The scary part is, if they succeed in getting the Cristian version in, when the demographics of the USA shifts (look up the population growth rates) Sharia type laws will have stare dices and every Christian will be forced to live under Islamic Sharia by their own short sighted actions.

No one ever said followers think for themselves.

This is an argument (opening the doors for Sharia) I have heard elsewhere and I cannot think of a counter-argument. Unless even more Muslims choose atheism. (There's a growing (?) apostate community on youtube.)

Now there was me thinking that the US is a secular country.

Why isn't the First enforced in the same way some think the Second should be enforced?

Except, no, not really and looks like the 2016 GOP Platform is working to cement that.

I got a kick out of it when Hillary said "And I hate to say it, but until a few months ago, I was one of the Establishment. But then, I switched. I switched to non-Establishment." Who would believe her???

Freedom to discriminate.

Once a business can legally discriminate on the basis of _____ it will be able to legally discriminate on the basis of _____!

Remember David Duke endorsed and Drumpf had to be told repeatedly over several days to denounce!

Seems no development in the US since 1925, the State vs. John Scopes trial in Dayton, Tennessee.

There was development, Until the moral minority got there hands down the pants of some of the more uptight republican Party members.
I'm sick of Red and Blue states. Show me where a neutral State is. I want to move there.

And you think posting this link somehow discredits the notion that some sealot is going to try to cram his or her version of Christianity down your throat via turning the USA into a theocracy (the Christian Saudi Arabia)?
