I see it is time for "THE STORY"

My Federal Friend (US Customs) tells the story of a unit he had to do a stint with. For three months they hadn't been getting much at all in the way of drug seizures; a joint here and there at most. Due to some program or another, it one day became his turn to pick the profile of the day. [Shock, they use profiles!] They had been using some variation of "the usual suspects" for all those three months. My Federal Friend being smart could see that "the usual suspects" were not the people that were smuggling. Someone was. So for three months they had been letting the drugs through. So he thinks to himself, who is likely to have drugs? One thing that is obvious is they must have the money to buy drugs. So his order was not to stop any blacks, browns, poor, etc. "The usual suspects." He did not want to see any of them being picked AT ALL. He told them to pick the lawyers, doctors, engineers, accountants, bankers, professionals, who will be mostly lily white.

His supervisor, black, just ragged and ragged on him. Remember they weren't getting are quality seizures and now he was ordering them not to check "the usual suspects" and to check of all things "white people." Supervisor absolutely convinced they would find nothing and making sure my friend heard all about it. Ragging went on long enough and vocal enough that upper supervisors must of heard it or it was passed on to them at some point. We will come back to that. In any case his order wasn't countermanded.

At the end of the day they had 3 seizures of significant quantities, more than a kilo, of narcotics. This for a team that hadn't had squat for the last three months. Supervisor of course wanted full credit.

Next day comes and it isn't his turn to pick the profile. Supervisor has them go back to checking "the usual suspects." Nothing, and they stay with "the usual suspects" profile until he rotates out.

Now as to those upper supervisors, some time later one asks him what he did. By now they have statistics reports so they know the results and that it worked. How did he pick that profile? He tells them he "reverse profiled." He figured out who to stop based on the ability to purchase. If you don't have money you don't have drugs.

Now for the Moral. White people are criminals and bigger crooks than black people. Profile them more! Otherwise your racism will prevent you from finding and catching the criminals.

Mr. Drumpf, wants to do as the United Negro College Fund warns against; "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" and he wants to lock up another generation of poor people, simply because they are poor. That based on his personal greed, rather than give them alternatives to crime, such as an education.

BTW is it less expensive to give an education or lock someone up for life? (Typical wall street focus on the short term profits!) Oh and you can be sure all the police unions will be for Drumpf, because he will make more jobs for them, or to put it another way, fleece the taxpayer. Make lots and lots of donations to his campaign with state and federal employee money.

If Trump were to win, he would be world's only national leader to reject climate science
Donald Trump would be the only national leader in the world to dismiss the science of climate change should he become president, putting him out of step even with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe and Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea.

The potential isolation of the US on climate change has been laid bare by a new Sierra Club report which found universal acceptance of climate science among the leaders of the 195 countries recognized by the US state department.

ATLANTA -- The NAACP says Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has declined an invitation to address the group's upcoming convention, flouting established precedent and highlighting anew the GOP standard-bearer's struggle to attract support from nonwhite voters.

You believe he doesn't believe in it? He'll say anything, except when it comes to rising sea levels endangering one of his golf courses in Scotland.

I didn't know that the golf course was under threat, and I have lived, for a short time, in that part of the world.

Off Subject but on Topic...

The problem is not with the science of climate change, the problem is the interpretation of the data and the arrogance of mankind to think we have either the ability or ultimately the desire to affect the outcome.

The only thing that will affect MAN MADE climate change is a reduction in the human population by about 7 billion individuals. Currently I see two possible ways this could occur....

1 A plague spread worldwide, either through terrorism or wildcard(Ebola), too quickly to contain(due to our interconnected traveling society).

2 A Rogue nation initiated Nuclear Exchange that escalates to the Major Powers.

One source for what I said: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/05/donald-trump-climate-change-golf-course-223436.

WHy believe he BELIEVES climate change is a Chinese-made hoax rather than one more thing he'' SAY to get attention/power? On some issues he's brought up, approximately, 5 positions in 24-48 hours.

'coming of the "principate"'???

I thought that is what we had NOW...

Thing is, neither Clinton nor Trump would end it.

Johnson (L) might could, if (and it is a big if) he were to get a Libertarian majority in both the House and the Senate, but that isn't going to happen. WAY TO MANY US Citizens have a vested interest in continuing the very programs/policies (Progressive) that have ENABLED the Principate in the first place.

Just as in the Roman Empire (which you allude to in your use of the term 'Principate' (a term refering to the rule of the earlier Roman Emperors (~ 27 BCE to ~ 284 CE) where the Emperor retained in use some of the features/institutions of the previous republican government -- as opposed to the Dominate (later Roman Emperors, ~ 284CE onwards) it is not going to end well for the USA.

Perhaps it would have been better to have said 'stave off the coming of the dominate'. That is what we are getting close to.

Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016.

'stave off the coming of the dominate'

It is very rewarding for me to see that some of
my 'far out' thinking is seeping through the mist.

..what I said.. It just seems that people always
do the same things under pressure regardless of
when or where they were born.

Another way of saying that:

"Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat its mistakes."

But, I would not call your thinking on this "far out". You have your way out moments on other subjects... but on this one, you are kinda spot-on.

The American Civil War was a civil war in the United States fought from 1861 to 1865. The Union faced secessionists in eleven Southern states known as the Confederate States of America. The Union won the war, which remains the bloodiest in U.S. history.

Christie put the father of Trumps son in

I heard that means he is out as VP....
