Putin's a successful thug. Thugs usually have initial success against non thugs. Doesn't make them Intelligent.
"Putin will probably meet Donald in the future."
Despite the polls.... Agree. Increasing coming to believe, after many conversations with many people, in many different occupations, varied education, etc. The Donald will win an overwhelming victory.
Perhaps a repeat of Bush/Kerry 2004. When the 'Exit Polls' showed an overwhelming victory for Kerry!
Putin 9
Donald 1

Both the same. 5 - 5?

Putin is not a thug. He hires them and make it sure that any trace to him is gone.
He still plays with humans as he did when he was a kid playing with rats in St Petersburg.
Putin has also a LONG political background going back to 1990.

Donald? Well...

From your description he is a smart thug but still a thug none the less.

Maybe I have different picture of what a thug is and they don't do judo:)
I think Putin is more like a Godfather and have Capos to do the dirty work.

Trump is "only" a successful businessman and a Populist saying what many Americans think and promising that America will be great again.

I hope Trump hasn't promised that America will be the Greatest, because then we have a problem!

I think the word you are looking for, Glenn, is 'sure'.

In 'Southern U.S. English', 'sure' is pronounced 'ˈshȯr' (although in 'Northern U.S. English', it tends to be pronounced with more of a u sound than an o sound).

Yes, it sounds the same as 'shore', but it is NOT spelled the same.

The phrase 'for sure' means 'certain' or 'certainly'.

Sidenote.
In LA some speak Valleyspeak:)

She's a Valley Girl
Okay, fine
Fer sure, fer sure

To my ear sure sounds like "shör".
And Fer like "För":)

Glenn,

Yes, this is a problem in USA politics. It seems like there is always a political campaign going on. It is annoying, for sure <wink>... But, with the political parties and election systems structured the way they are, there really is not much of an alternative.

About 6 months of jockeying for spots on the political party primary election ballots, about 6 months of campaigning for the political party primary elections, then another 6 months of campaigning for the general elections. We get a break from it for about 6 months every 2 years (on the state / federal levels). That break is frequently eaten up, however, by local election(s).

It is enough to make a person very tired / crazy. And yet many people wonder why US election voter turnout is as low as it is? Simple... Voter fatigue.

In a nutshell, many of us in the US get TIRED of the never-ending BullS**t, so they tune out and don't vote.

If it weren't for constant campaigning the big advertising agencies would have to close down.

Hehehe.
The funny thing is that there is another country involved in this story about Donald's golf course Scotland.
Guess what country?

Donald doesnt realise that US laws dont apply in Europe.
No other country for that matter.

Shame on you Donald!
And he has Scottish mother:(

What sort of a simpleton would support Mr Trump?

You know better than to ask such a complex question. It would require an IQ over [redacted] to answer it.

Interesting New York Times Article

What’s the Matter With Polling?

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/21/opinion/sunday/whats-the-matter-with-polling.html?_r=0

Unfortunately... Haven't believed The Polls for months.

Let me guess, you haven't believed them since the brief period a few were forecasting a Drumpf victory?

Considering his claim:

Drumpf wrote:
[w]henever there's a tragedy, everything goes up, my numbers go way up
(source)

one might wonder how bad his numbers would be were it not for Orlando.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Throwing eggs at women, harassing wheelchair persons, chasing and tackling innocent persons, yelling...
Is effective in Europe?

Of course not Clyde.
Politicians are fair game to joke about.
But using the "methods" you mention are disgusting.
I don't think any politician could gain from it and they know it.
