However... It was the Right of Center Republicans who Passed the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act. Destroying the Racist Jim Crow Laws, and allowing more Black Democrat Voters. Not the KKK Dominated Democrat Party.
Yes, the Dixiecrats were still in the Democrats at that time, they have now moved to the GOP and call themselves Tea. Those that don't flip flop have not changed. The dixie/tea's will go to any place where they can fester and spread their hate, just like ISIL.

Or Clyde, are you saying that racism is inherently a right wing nut quality? Remember your right is left statements before you answer.

It's totally inane comparisons like this, devoid of any intellectual redemption that actually spread a lot of the 'hate'. Nice job Gary.

Bigotry is bigotry be it racial or religious preference based.

Sorry if you felt you resembled the remark.

To compare citizens who are concerned with the fiscal irresponsibility and decline of moral values to animals who butcher women and children because of their religion in unconscionable. I hope your reprehensible statement comes back to haunt you in spades.

So comparing the KKK to ISIL isn't fair? The tea is the dixiecrat is the KKK. Just remember ISIL prays to the very same god as the tea. If it morally justifies for one then it does so for the other.
<ed>Moral Decline = religious bigotry and enforcing their religion upon the masses. Sure sounds like ISIL!

Bigotry is bigotry be it racial or religious preference based.

And so you understand the LP is not tea, no matter how many times the tea lies and says so. Shouldn't the tea's tongue be on fire?

Message 1788436 - Posted: 18 May 2016, 14:07:59 UTC - in response to Message 1785925.

The Post WWII Era, with the Brutal USA as the Policeman, is over.

That one could say is a good thing, because to be honest the US has not been a very good policeman.

In most cases the US does not understand the countries or the people that it meets. It assumes that anybody who doesn't bow to the US model or doesn't like US imports is wrong. Do US forces every once think of relaxing, taking off the hi-tech body protection, the sun glasses, and take there weapons out of the ready position and talk to the locals, and help the elderly with their heavy bags.

And when the job gets tough, usually caused by local reaction to US policies, you usually pull out post haste, before the job is half way finished.

Like the Brits have done any better. Remember, the USA is what Britain made us. If Britain hadn't botched the events leading up to WWII the United States would possibly still be the isolationist giant it was then.

We would have made more money supplying the German War Effort against the Soviet Union.
And then there's money made supplying the Soviet Union War Effort against Germany. The 'Mongers' make money on both ends.

More details on "botched the events leading up to WWII" please.

And don't forget to go back as far as the Treaty of Versailles.

And I seem to remember that the US was isolationist long before WW2, what about WW1?

Still isolationist until early 1917. Woodrow Wilson won his 2nd term after pledging to keep the US out of the war in Europe.

The US only entered the fray after Germany resumed unrestricted submarine warfare.

If it wasn't for that, maybe the outcome & future of Europe would be much different than what it was. Who knows, maybe different right to this day.

None of us has been off topic. All stated so far is relevant. Haven't you already said "Past is prologue" & History often repeats"

Since the fall of the USSR you're no longer the world's policeman, but the world's No 1 bully & what has been seen for the past decade even that pails as you're on the road to world dictatorship & all for the sake of the "mighty $".

Trump/Clinton is only confirming that to the rest of the world.

You keep mentioning that you've given solutions, Where?

Before technology reared it's ugly head, all politicians lied, cheated & con their way to the top.

Now due to technolgy, there is only one option open to them - Cheating.

Solutions? With this?

Hilary says it's a foregone conclusion, bye bye Sanders then attacks Trump

Really Hilary...

"Mrs Clinton called Mr Trump "dangerous" and said he could not be trusted in sensitive national security situations like the operation that killed Osama Bin Laden."

...oh dear, so your breach of security was just a hiccup?
