The Left's total failure to understand this, or The USA, is amazing to some.

Former Right wing Swedish PM is in Washington right now and tweeted this.
All focus is on Indiana primary tomorrow. The fate of the world seems at stake.
The Indiana primary today might well make Trump unstoppable as the Republican candidate. Fasten seat belts.

Two random thoughts,

1 Trump understands that American Presidential Politics is actually 'Game of Thrones' with a little less blood,if you're in it to be a nice guy you're a loser.

2 The 'Word Whisperers' have somehow morphed Illegal Immigration Problem into just 'Immigration Problem', I have no problem with someone wanting to start a new life what I have a problem with is starting that life with an illegal act.

Regardless of what happens tonight, I think Cruz will stay in it through June 7th because even though there's no way he can get enough delegates to have an outright nomination win himself, he might still be able to keep Trump from hitting the magic number.

I have an issue with people who arbitrarily make an act legal or illegal, such as with an arbitrary (hate based) quota.

Surely you don't have to be "left wing" to disagree with almost everything he says.

It seems that only the "left wing" will participate in a demonstration opposed to Trump. I'm unsure where this has been shown to be true. Given that, what the rest of the world calls a "left wing" view is held by a very (one might say vanishingly) small portion of the US population, it's a wonder that they managed to hold so many demonstrations.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Please reference your proof of the arbitrary nature and hate.

Bye the way Indiana is final. Ted's toast.

And as far as DJT's opponent in November, I think Hillary may be surprised that 145 agents and the Director of the FBI don't consider their investigation 'a joke' as she does.

Interesting citation did you bother to notice this 1882 law was reversed in 1943 due in part to the compassion of the American people for Chinese displaced by the effects of the invasion of China by Japan in WWII?

Here's a thought for you.

If Trump wins the election it'll be the first time in history that a billionaire moved into public housing vacated by a black family!

Did you happen to notice that in 1942 it was a different group that fell into the hate target, being forced out of their homes at gunpoint and rounded up and put in concentration camps? Same kind of xenophobic hate for Puerto Ricans, Italians, Irish, Roma, and now it falls on Latin Americans and Muslims. It is hate, just the target changes as hate's target always must; hate is a hard emotion to sustain long term without reason.

So do you advocate totally open borders? And again everything in your response revolves around hate. I don't see hate in our current immigration laws, I see pragmatism.

I do see hate in riots by those with a different opinion interrupting the free speech of a candidate, or throwing batteries, bolts, bottles and bricks at the opposition and the police without provocation. But again I see the word hate used by certain groups whenever their intellectual argument proves moot.

Is what the Clueless Left doesn't understand.

How do you know it was the left. It could have been just as easily a group from the far right.

An act https://history.state.gov/milestones/1921-1936/immigration-act born of hate to preserve racial purity - quotas by country, is not ever going to change in character.

Congress revised the Act in 1952. Again, do you advocate open borders?

The repeated citation of acts that have no bearing on CURRENT LEGAL immigration regulations AND have been revised or repealed only weakens your insistence of 'hate and racism'. Do we currently live in 1921-1936? Exactly what in the CURRENT immigration laws do you feel are based on hateful racism?

America HAS learned from it's history, it's those who have not emerged from that history that have a problem.

Amnesty, for those presently here, is Pragmatism. And my position.

And mine, within reason. I don't feel breaking up families is warranted or helpful but to say everyone here illegally deserves to stay is oversimplification. There has to be reasoned evaluation of each situation. No felons or repeat offenders should be allowed amnesty. Then there is the discrimination against those who followed the rules to be considered.

Quota by country. As stated, created in hate, still continues to this day, and it is still hate. Or do you feel that racial quota's are not hate based?

Dialog is obviously over. How would YOU change immigration laws? I've asked 3 times now with no response. Criticism without a plan for change is not constructive. You obviously have no plan for change just words like hate and race. Lets hear your proposals.

I was not aware that Nationality of Origin was racial.......nor do I consider it so.

No, you have told me three times that I am for wide open borders.

Interesting and informative answer.

I will tell you that I would not fix our immigration issues by building a Berlin wall with land mines and machine guns to keep people out as Drumpf proposes.

If you wish an immigration to USA debate, open a thread.
