"I can talk personally about this. I guess it's kind of the elephant in the room. Because my own extended political family, going through what we went through back in the 1970s with my former running mate ... having served ... fighting for you all, America, in the Vietnamese war zone ... . But Senator McCain, like so many others ... . Some don't come back. Some die. Some are captured and are never released. Some come back a bit different. Some are amputees. Some, like my former running mate, John McCain, can't lift his arms through the entire range of normal motion. They come back wondering if there's that respect. And that starts from the top! And that's a shame that our former military personnel even have to wonder if they're respected anymore. So. when my own former running mate, John McCain, went through what he went through, coming back, I can certainly relate with other former POWs and American in general when I heard what Donald J. Trump said about him! Trump said McCain was not a hero and 'I like people who weren't captured'. And it makes me realize, more than ever, it is now or never, for the sake of America's finest, that we will have that Commander in Chief who will who will respect them and honor them! That is why, logically and in all good conscience, I *cannot* endorse Donald J. Trump as a candidate for President of the United States of America!!!"

Who else do you see running???

I happen to think that Hillary is damaged goods, and shall NOT survive it to see the preliminaries. I know she does not believe it will catch up with her, and continues to campaign like nothing at all is going on...
But it IS going to catch up with her, she may be indicted soon.

Now that leaves...

Regardless of Hillary's problems, I think it's going to be Hillary/Bernie vs. Trump/?. Like I said, if it becomes Trump and Palin I won't be surprised; there just isn't anybody else in the current field that fits with him, imo.

Yes, she rambles, and all politicians obfuscate, but it still wouldn't surprise me if she becomes Trumps' running mate.

PLEASE tell me that you got more out of that than just how it replicates her rambling.

Hope and 'change' are two words you should not bring up anymore.

Hope has been dashed, and change we got................for the worse.

She may have said that, but when it comes right down to it, if the possible job of VP is open, I think she will take it.

If someone was running for president who I didn't agree completely with, I would still probably consider the VP position if it was offered.

I see she says she can't endorse someone like Trump, but like I said, I think her tune would change if offered the VP job.

Well, no matter what, it won't be long now before we find out how the people who actually vote feel about the candidates. This should be an interesting and entertaining year.

No first we will get to see the .001% of extremists vote in their idiot. Then we get to see 99% of center America get disgusted and refuse to vote.

That's part of it.
It is a re-wording of her very own stump speech for Trump. But, I replaced her references to her son and PTSD from his time as a soldier with McCain's time as a POW. That McCain brought her into the limelight and now she endorses Trump after Trump said POWs were not among the true heroes of our vets defies reason.

These National Review articles Against Trump and Conservatives against Trump don't seem to think much of Donald.

Just finished a Matt Taibbi book called Griftopia. Made me feel sane again.

Haven't read his most recent, The Divide, but it looks like a book Gary (especially) would enjoy immensely.

Anyway, if you're starting to feel like your news sources are sounding more and more like The Kardashians for people pretending to be grown-ups...

And if you're a George Carlin fan like I am...

There's a bunch of Taibbi stuff on Trump on RS.

Head's up: He's no blogger. You may not like his writing style but at least there's a real reporter hidden underneath it.

- I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue (in New York) and shoot someone, and I would still not lose some voters, said Trump during a campaign rally in Sioux Center in Iowa, speaking of the threat posed by their Republican rivals.

Weird man.

Weird man.

Weird and dangerous.

Doesn't matter.

His Anti Political, Media and Economic Establishments message, is necessary.

But... We need another Anti - the above - Candidate (not Cruz).

Who could that be?

Another? I don't see one.

Do I detect an implication of a "Politicians are <negatives>, the Media are <negatives>, the Economic Establishment are <negatives>" message in your post? Why else would opposition to these groups be "necessary"? Why are the Left and the Right to be damned for their, according to you, opposition to certain groups, yet you are not? Does the choice of group matter? "Acceptable Bigotry"?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

If you mean Fanatical Social/Political Group: Yes.

Fanatical Religious and Secular Ideological groups are always dangerous to our Freedoms.

Their Unthinking Dogma is, and will always be, Treasonous to Modern Western Civilization's belief in Tolerance and Individual Freedom.

bobby...

Why ask?

Not asking about the unthinking dogma of others, I'm asking about yours and your "acceptable bigotry".
