To prevent a repeat of yesterday when people were discussing whether to start one thread for all famous people passing in an RIP thread. This thread will allow a discussion.

Please keep it civil.

Personally I rarely post in the "RIP" threads as it is just a personal thing with me.

However I realise that many people like to express their sadness for the passing of someone who may have been a great influence on their lives or just a familiar face or voice through radio TV or films.

I don't personally see a problem with individual threads, it would somehow seem a little less "personal" to have them all together in one.

Just my thoughts, what are yours.

I believe that if somebody wishes to dedicate a few moments of forum thread to pay tribute to another human being that has impacted their lives, this should certainly be the place to do so.

A simple obit notice and a place for others to add any comments or commiseration.

Why anybody has any trouble with that is kinda irking me right now.

Pissing me off, actually.

Damn, I don't even think this is worthy of much discussion here.
Threads are given space for things much less worthy of giving a few seconds to the memory of those who have preceded us.

Geez, the mods have made this an issue when one should not exist.

Drop it, mods, and realize that YOURS is not the only opinion that exists on these boards.

I´m 100% sure the mods mean well.

In my point of view its a shame this has to be discuessed but now the thread is running we should give all people who are interested a chance to say how they are feeling about it.

My mistake was I should have said I am asking this question as a poster on these forums NOT a mod.
