I've managed to pick up quite a few this time around, but Credit New...
From 320 for 1 WU to 600 on another for runtimes only 60 seconds apart.
Sheesh!

Well we used to get around 700 for an AP that run the full time.
Now that crazy Credit New has lowered it to 450-500, and it keeps dropping.

And same goes for MB of course. I'm starting to think that DA knew exactly what he was doing.
People have a tendency to want to keep their RAC, or make it rise, so what will they do? They'll start buying more powerful GPU's and computers, when the credit/task drops,
just to keep their RAC. End result is that the project gets more job done, and people pay thousands of dollars on new hardware.

That makes sense. You deserve a pound of lutefisk as a reward for your insight.

Since there doesn't seem to be any fixes on the way for the invalid crunching of AP on AMD RXxx0 (RX400 and 500 series (possibly also Vega?)) GPU's, I have added the following to the <options> section of my cc_config.xml:

<exclude_gpu>
<url>http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/</url>
<device_num>1</device_num>
<app>astropulse_v7</app>
</exclude_gpu>

This will exclude my RX480 (device 1) from running AstroPulse WU's, but still let them run on my HD7770 (which is device 0).

I would recommend anyone with RXxx0 cards that they do the same until this problem is resolved. Just be certain that you exclude the correct GPU.

Otherwise we risk that invalid WU's get validated, if they happen to be paired with another RXxx0 card.

Thanks for this info. My RX 470 also provides many errors.
I hope we will be notified when the error is resolved.

#tullio

Probably nothing wrong with your app_config.xml -- I have had similar "error" messages when the app_info.xml file was messed up and there was not a proper <file_info> or <file_ref> xml tag for the astropulse_v7 executable. Or maybe the actual executable got deleted somehow. Stuff happens...

Since the statement has been made there is no more Arecibo work in hopper, or available, I would say the future of this thread is also in grave doubt.........
