You had it right. The goofup was mine. When I went into the file, I wasn't running APs so anything marked astropulse I left alone. Cool. Happy pointing! Haven't played that game in years!! |

Jim, all I did was said "Oops, you've dropped one there", no violence was offered, and thankfully none was needed. :) No worries, all in fun, and I did need my mind set right... Transposing decimal points and zeros is a serious crime!! That's what I get for posting when I'm in a hurry... |

Be glad it wasn't "He's dead, Jim" Nuff said Bob Sometimes I wonder, what happened to all the people I gave directions to? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SETI@home classic workunits 4,321 SETI@home classic CPU time 22,169 hours |

Out of interest how are people's caches holding up holding up after the last round? I am out of all round. Until the next round :) |

Out of interest how are people's caches holding up holding up after the last round? I am out of all round. Until the next round :) First time in forever I've actually gotten a decent cache for each of the boxes. Unfortunately, the Xeons are blasting through like no one's business. I'll be dry in a couple more hours ... |

It is times like these where I enjoy having a "slow" CPU-only setup. As long as what I have is not heavily-blanked, I do ~6 APs/day. With 81 left, I'm sitting on ~13.5 days of cache presently. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6392429 Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Anyone know why I am getting this error?? GPU-Z or similar shows both 980's running fine? Edit: Whatever it was, all better now?? |

GPU-Z shows everything running fine. The GPU are running, it just keeps booting any AP tasks. I updated to the latest driver, I'm guessing that's to blame. Trying to get it back up and running AP tasks, ugh. |

And yet you did get two APs to complete at 0427 utc. Can't see the driver, though. I know 355.82 has been great for my 750s |

OpenCL is not running...you need to update the drivers, doing a Custom Install and then checking Bare Install and that will reload the NVidia driver, not the Win10 driver you are now using. SETI@home classic workunits 4,019 SETI@home classic CPU time 34,348 hours |

That was with the 358.91 driver. I just update about 30 mins ago to 359.00. |

See the notes here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=78076 This thread will tell you how to remove any remnants of old drivers and then install the new one. That is the problem at this point, you have some bits left of the Windows driver that are not removed by the install so you need to remove all the drivers and then reinstall the NVidia drivers again. The program you need to run is Driver Sweeper. The kitties just run XP pro on most boxen, and all NV cards. I am kinda bemused by the constant and epic fights that others have just to get Seti crunching properly. I guess I was just blessed by the Seti gods. It all runs, and it works. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I am kinda bemused by the constant and epic fights that others have just to get Seti crunching properly. A lot of folks forget (or don't know) the cardinal rule of upgrades: Never never ever ever make more than one significant change without leaving adequate burn-in time to ensure the dust settles before moving on to the next change! Countless train wrecks have been prevented by those who remember this ... |

I like to remind that updates to drivers are usually tailored to new games that are coming out, not necessarily for number crunching. As such, the newest and latest doesn't mean the greatest here at Seti. I prefer to use older drivers that I know for sure work without problems. |

I like to remind that updates to drivers are usually tailored to new games that are coming out, not necessarily for number crunching. I don't upgrade unless it is proven to be necessary. Hence, XP pro and very old drivers. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
