Looks like I scooped up 166 in total from 23:00 on the 22nd, when it appears they started to now! There is no flood of then, but a steady stream will do....

Yes it did! Oh well! My main cruncher will be out of them in about 14 hours. Guess I better top up on a few MB's, before the outage.

Looks like they fired up the AP splitter again for a few more tasks. Picked up a couple more to crunch on my main daily driver. Every one helps with the WOW challenge.

Question because my curiosity:

Why AP tasks (at least at NV GPU) start, progress goes over 1%, then it drops to 0.9% and stays there for while. After it continues, but it's progress is always 1.801% and continues to raise.

I know there is explanation for this, but I don't know it.

So please, explain it to me :)

1) Cause new BOINC clients programmed to make extrapolation when no real data about progress provided.
2) Cause at that points app checkpoints and report progress back to BOINC.

The Captain is on the last two AP's, unless more are forthcoming that rig will go dark until there is more work. Time for a rest and thorough cleaning. Also I might install Ubuntu to start the move away from MicroManage$oft.

Got one dataset splitting out a few more.
Kitties are sniffing for them........
Good kitties, got a few.

Shorties and APs.....nice mix, my crunchers do well on it.

Very strange the way they are splitting the APs.

petri33, I suppose you tested this yourself before posting here, so how much did you gain by this?

The time for one task was 1100 and after the change it was 900.

Now I'm running two at a time.

It's quite a big speedup.
Please when you will have time provide data from profiler. What kernels affected most?
Regarding AMD - it's possible to leave IL inside bin file. I'm not sure though will machine code part recompiled in case of IL manually changed or IL part will just be ignored and bin loaded again.

P.S. try to rebuild w/o -fno-bin-amdil option in build string for CL compiler.

Thanks Raistmer for the info. I'll try to find time to test with profiler and do the suggested rebuilds.

Damn, and my main cruncher is missing the party. Sitting here in the dark, typing this on my BlackBerry. We had a wicked wind storm today, 200,000 homes without power. Been out for 9 hours now, and the real bummer is 3 doors down has power. :(
