Message 1743866 - Posted: 21 Nov 2015, 16:13:40 UTC - in response to Message 1743859.

Just got home from Chicago. About an inch here, but radio says Lynn has 8".

Down to 13F Saturday night.

Ouch, 13F, the lowest I've ever felt was 20F in 2008.

That's nothing. I won't be surprised if it gets down to -13F at some point between now and April. I used to wear just a light jacket down to about 20, but my tolerance for cold has fallen as my age has risen.

BTW, the snow is still falling. Slippery roads, poor visibility. Time to switch to my heavy coat.

Yep, time to get out the Parka, if it were Me, one that would breathe, I can tolerate some cold too, but below 20F, I need something better.

Cool and Tasty - Is that with French Fries or Ice Cream Sir?

Cloud cover has gone, and the temperature is dropping rapidly, soon we will have the first proper frost of the season, which means a windscreen scraping session in the morning :-(

We had a few warm days here last week with Saturday hitting 31C (while temps down the hill were hitting 38-40C), but the storms returned yesterday (24C/20.5mm) and should return again this afternoon while reaching a max of 27C.

We should have low 30C temps back later in the week before another cool wet change for the weekend.

Cheers.

A clean car is hard to have here, I have a cement plant just a stones throw away. :( with the dew at night the dust stays on the car.

The nearest cement plant to here is on the edge of the Lucerne Valley close to 60 miles from here, what dust does happen here comes from the wind kicked up off of a dry lake, which is an Ice Age remnant, motorcycles and off road vehicles can also kick up the dust too.

Temp outside is now 52F, low was 39F, a rise of 13F.

I cleaned my front and rear windows while pumping gas yesterday. Within two miles, they were disgusting again. The car is filthy too, but I'll wait for the snow to melt before I wash it.

Looks like we finally got above freezing. I'm starting to doubt the forecast for 50s later this week. They seem pretty sure about a LOT of rain on Thursday, though.
