Message 1697804 - Posted: 2 Jul 2015, 18:14:38 UTC - in response to Message 1697789.

I reverted back to 347.88 and still no AP.
Then I found a message under Notice tub says 'Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of AstroPulse v7'
I don't know how this happened but at least I know why no AP.
All I did was to install Lunatics_Win64_v0.42 and split GPU to 3.

Why not v.43a?

I've not seen "Results out in the field" of 150 thousand plus of AP's for a very long time, if every...

Not that I'm complaining, my cache is 5 short of Max (700)... :)

Lunatics v0.42 doesn't have applications for Astropulse v7: v0.43 (later revised to v0.43a, because of a memory usage problem) was released to coincide with the release of Astropulse v7, and supports it.

Thank you for all the help.
Now I think I know what I did. When I re-installed BOINC software a couple of months ago, I mistakenly used the old copy of Lunatics software. No wonder I couldn't get any AP. I must have been half asleep then.
I have something to do before I go to bed.
Thanks again, all.

Here's a thing to panic about, the IPv4 addresses are nearing EOA (end of availability) in the USA. ARIN Activates IPv4 Unmet Requests Policy:

ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) activated the IPv4 Unmet Requests policy (NRPM 4.1.8) this week with the approval of an address request that was larger than the available inventory in the regional IPv4 free pool.

ARIN does still have limited amounts of IPv4 address space available in smaller block sizes. We encourage customers to monitor the IPv4 Inventory Counter on the ARIN homepage and the breakdown of the remaining IPv4 inventory found on our IPv4 Depletion page.

Organizations that need larger amounts of address space are encouraged to make use of the IPv4 transfer market for those needs. ARIN also reminds organizations of the ample availability of IPv6 address space, and encourages organizations to evaluate IPv6 address space for their ongoing public Internet network activities.

But then, IPv6 may require new hardware, new software etc. AKA $$$$$$$$ a company may not want to spend at this time.

Ageless no need to panic everyone in the IT world has known for a long time IPV4 addresses will run out and why most should have equipment now that can handle IPV6 and if they haven't then well they deserve what ever happens as they have had a long time to get ready for it .

I thought we, in the US, ran out of IPv4 addresses 2 years ago. Not that it should effect SETI@home. Unless Berkeley, or hurricane electric, decides to give up some of their addresses in favor of switching to IPv6.

The worst case scenario would be hurricane switching the IP leased to SETI@home & Berkeley not having the equipment to route IPv6 to the colo. However I imagine they are already running new enough equipment given how long ago enterprise level devices were updates to handle IPv6.

AP Update:

Prometheus, (GTX-750 TI), now has 16 APs.

Exeter, (GTX-760), also has 16 APs.

Each system crunched about 5 to 6 other APs earlier today. (Plus crunching MBs.) I haven't had this many since before the big crash last November!!! :-O

Are things actually getting back to "Normal", now???...??? :-O :-)

If this is end of the run, then we have alot of channels of MB to run thru before the Tuesday outage.

Should be interesting ;)

And the results received for MB is the lowest I have seen for some time.
Might be partially due to some of the heavy hitters concentrating on AP for now, but might also be that the new data is producing some longer running MB work.

Nice AP run, regardless.

My first AP feast and it was excellent.

My RAC is like 30% higher and it feels good. I was doing around 13K and am now over 17. Like is good. I still have half my queue full of Ap's so i should do well for a few more days.

Looking at the status page it looks like AP\s are going to be scarce again.

Life is good.

AP's!!
I caught the tail end of the feast and got 100 AP's total.
Needed to pay more attention to what I was doing.
Thanks again for all the help.

I just leave all the settings the same.
AP, yes. MB, no. Others if not, OK.

When this gets to the servers, it tells them the kitties want only AP, but they are humble, and shall take what they can get.
Works for me.

I was wondering. The ati-nocal and ati5-nocal. I have been getting storms of them. They are short to very short. Is SETI trying for a quick turn around on these type of wu's?

There are no ati-nocal and ati5-nocal wus. Only tasks marked as ati-nocal and ati5-nocal after you ask the server for work. We often get groups of VHAR tasks or "shortie storms". Pretty standard things. Unless your GPU is having errors and just trashing all of the task it gets, but looking over your tasks they are just VHARs. So nothing to worry about.

Well, Exeter, (GTX-760), is now out of APs, and Prometheus, (GTX-750 TI), is down to two of them. :-( However; it was good to have them while they lasted. :-)

Those tasks at true angle range 0.408901 aren't VHARs, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7368710&offset=80
He's just having a hard time believing his card is working Sooo much better than before, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=4175896531

The New App r2929 is Much better than the old r1831, but, I'm having a hard time believing it's that much better. Perhaps his recent repairs helped a little.
Anyway, it's good to see his card working the way it's suppose to. Hopefully CreditFew will realize an AR of 0.408901 should be scoring around 100 credits before too much longer.

Well since you know exactly which tasks I was looking at when they mentioned they are running "very short tasks". Why not look at the same ones I did.
