Message 1688005 - Posted: 5 Jun 2015, 7:52:16 UTC

I just installed the 64 bit version 1.66 on a Win 7 laptop. The problem is that the Messages tab does not show the Project column for the Messages. So it is difficult to understand from which project each message is coming from. There seems to be no selection options in the settings which columns to show for Messages tab. Other tabs (Projects, Tasks etc.) have this possibility but not for Messages.

I use BoincTasks on other computers also, same version even, and they all show the Projects column in Messages tab. They have originally been installed from older version and just updated to this 1.66 later on.

Has anybody seen this kind of behavior? And how to fix it?

You can try to contact the developer http://efmer.com/forum/.

make a -right-klick- on the messages, then you can select the project you would like to see.

and you can also make a -right-klick on the hm "messages-top-bar" to add or remove columns you wanna see.

Yes, I can select the project which messages I want to see, but I would still like too see the Project column for easier operation. Right clicking the titles in Messages tab shows "Show or hide columns" but it is greyed and has no effect.

The usual problem with multi-column interfaces like this is that the column width gets accidentally set to zero. The project name should be the second column, between the computer name and the timestamp. Try clicking on the dividing line between the column headers at that point, and dragging it to the right.

Removing and reinstalling did the trick.
