Do any of you people know what went on at
these places way back in the "old days?"

edit:
I'll tell you, most young ladies I went out with
would never have been caught at places like that....

There's still a couple in the Louisville are, but I've never been to one.

Ours played movies at Night and by Day sometimes had Swap Meets, where merchandise was bought and sold at, this was before the internet and ebay ruined that of course. Those were the days alright.

Yup....
Hiding a guy in the trunk so's not to pay.
Tinny little speaker hanging offa the window that you usually forgot to remove before leaving and tearing the wires off.

Watching the movie and drinking MD2020 and blackberry brandy.
Puking out the side window.

And if you were with your favorite squeeze instead of out with the guys....
Maybe get to second base and some noogy noogy.

Yeah, I remember the outdoor theaters....LOL.

YAY... 27th July 3,000,000 cobblestones.

Only took 9 years 10 months crunching 24/7.

I am a few days short of 15 years at this quest.
So I guess that explains why my numbers are a bit better...

And mine is not the path I should choose for others.
I have been on a rocky road at best.\
I would say choose Seti, yes.
But do not make it your slave or master, kids.

There are things we should search out. And this project does it best.
But do not do as I l have done and make it a slave of you.
Please, do not do that.

It has been mine for many years, and it is not an easy road.

Thought we had an aircraft thread, but if so I can't find it.

Spitfire

2 Spitfires are being restored to flight, one mk1 spitfire(only 4 are flight worthy today, see pic below) is going to sold at auction, another spitfire is being donated to the Imperial War Museum for all to gaze at, a 'thin red line', that's all that kept barbarism at bay, that and the Royal Navy. Fantastic article there Chris S, thanks for posting that here.

The black and white paint underside scheme was used to identify RAF planes from
the ground but was abandoned in June 1940 and replaced with duck egg blue.
