Are you supposed to always be able to mix your work time with your leisure time? Are you supposed to be able to carry out your business work or professional work while at the same time be caring for children and family, including your husband or wife?

YES that is what society expects , man up ! fellow

Really, this subject is not related to Seti@home at all, but some people supposedly do not seem to bother.

Oh my gosh!!

but your hips do look big in the dress

Ouch! I wouldn't dare try that one. Look, women KNOW when they look good and feel good, the very fact that she has to ask for a second opinion, means a danger signal. I would try "Look darling, a simple yes or no is not what you really want to hear is it? Why not ask your best friend next door, her opinion is better than mine."

Lady's could i ask you to vote on my answer out of 5 please ( he doesn't get it ) !!!

Chris it's very simple . Women when they buy dress to go out they wish to look sexy and so when they , say does my bum look big they are asking do i look sexy it's that simple
Not how big there bum is !!
Not weather the color is ok , mind you if like say so .

Small waist making shoulders and hips bigger is sexy and there is in fact a raio for the perfect sexy shape , all women know this and they know they don't have to be the perfect raio

Glenn! I think that you are very greatly underestimating and not understanding women. Women like to look good and feel good and be comfortable in whatever they wear when they go out. They are not all out to be on the pull. Occasionally they make an iffy fashion choice and want reassurance that they can get away with it. Their best mates are best placed to give them that advice.

Chris , Chris , Chris

Please Lady's set this man straight

Of cause you tell them Chris if they made a fashion bobo , but i am right . It took me a long time to figure what to say . She trusted me to tell her if it was a BoBo but i did all ways get a look at that particular question and why i said i could see the cogs in her mind "he finally got it right "
:).

I bet the Lady's are peeeing them self laughing

Does it help to have Princess baby factory all over the news?

Gary that is a M.C.P attitude and a bit unfair of the prince and princess .

They are married and i'm shore they both wanted the kids even without the pressure of expectations of the public .

You also have to remember the Queen or future king of England is also the Head of the Church of England !!!

AKA: same as the POPE !

So blame religion and politics for the expectations ...YES

Let the rationalizations begin .....

@Glenn and Chris,

you have both distilled your understanding of women to them asking "does my bum look big in this?"

Can neither of you see the problem with you discussion and how patronising it is to women?

Ess that does not answer the question , who's right me or Chris !! It's a question of who understand what a woman is saying or not .

It has also been the top answer on game shows . Ess you naughty girl changing the subject .I would say Chris answer is over thinking the question and patronising not my answer which I Bloody know is the correct one .

Chris follow this link , however you can use the word sexy when it is put the way I did but beautiful if it's a normal answer , I'm playful so my answer is also correct .

Read the last bit

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2282166/No-look-great-What-answer-partner-asks-does-bum-look-big-this.html

It helps if you understand why women say it Chris they will give you a couple of chancses to comment on the dress but what they wish to know with that question is do they look good as the article says it's that simple .

Neither is correct.

The correct answer is to try to create a world where a woman's worth is not so much judged on her looks that she is terrified of being judged unattractive everytime she leaves the house.

There is no correct answer because there is something fundamentally wrong with the question.

Tell her you think she looks amazing in whatever she wears and not to worry about what others think so much. Tell her that she is so amazing on so many levels that no mere piece of clothing can change that. If that doesn't work, tell her to go read "fat is a feminist issue" by Susie Orbach.

No one is right. Neither a female who asks that question Expecting a positve answer or the guy who answers it and lies.
I told my wife when we dated never to ask me a question she didnt want me to answer truthfully. And she has the same right.
It works for us. There have been times when I didn like what she had on. Many more where she told me I looked like an idiot with what I was wearing. Im a guy with no fashion sense at all. Im a jeans and t-shirt guy. What the heck do I know about a formal dinner setting. Thank God she does.
And No we dont take offense if the other hates what the other one is wearing.

My first marriage eneded after 8 years beacuse of a total lack of communications by both of us.
My marriage now has thrived since 96, ( and we started dateing in 91 )Because we communicate.
You should never be afraid to tell a spouse the truth. Or listen to the spouse tell you something. Do you have to like it? No. But do you hear what is said? Thats the important part!

Except, from personal experience, if your wife asks "Does this make me look fat?" :)

The "F" word . you mention that word and your asking for a whole lot of trouble let alone your partner asking you Clyde . Your still married Yes ! so how do you handle that question ?

Since I mostly scan the threads here when I'm at work, I don't usually have a good chance to read and respond to deep issues, but I want to try to say something. I want an equally fair life for everyone, but I also celebrate the differences of the opposite sex, and by celebrate, I don't mean cat-calling and making people uncomfortable. I just like seeing a pretty woman, and while most of the time I won't say anything, I may smile, or compliment her on her appearance in a very low-key way. The bottom line is I don't think men and women should be so equal that we're walking around like generic robots.

Being respectful isn't the same as being a robot.

I am not entirely sure about your reasoning that it is ok to make comments to perfect strangers about their appearance, even in a low key way. Do you also compliment men?

Watch Amy Schumer Flawlessly Destroy the Men Who Judge Women's Bodies - Warning, F-words.

The third season of Amy Schumer's Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer, has been gunning for the large cultural problems all women face: pervasive rape culture, Hollywood's backward ageism and the media's obsession with "real beauty."

What do all those issues really come down to? Men's objectifying judgment of women's bodies.

Why do men think that it is a right to judge women's bodies and then tell them about it?

Why do women that it is a right to judge men's length?
I'm a short person and often get ridicule for it...
Both men and women does it.
Happened only for some hours ago today to me.
