Nothing at all to do with any of your States & their legal systems but the UK's. Don't you get it yet? It's a UK case with proof that it was impossible for him to bugger a junkie here at that time...

...unless he was Mr Fantastic himself :-)

Can't speak for the States, but here, effective policing, stringent oversight of the CPS (atm, too many Mickey Mouse cases being dealt with wasting taxpayers money), tougher rules for defence/prosecution enabling ALL evidence on the table before the actual case hearing.

In Jonathon King's case, both defence & prosecution prosecuted for their faillngs in the case. That would ensure that all sides in cases have all the facts to present to judges & juries.

The 51 States have nothing to do with it. The receipt clearly shows he was in the USA rather than the UK. Can't you see that fact?

It shows his credit card was in the USA, if that is in fact his account and not someone with the same name or the entire thing a forgery. His passport should have some entry and exit stamps if he did some travel, and there should be some records of that somewhere. Sounds to me like his barrister did the normal splendid job of ensuring a conviction, just like the public defender in the USA.

Good points! It begs a question though...

...what if he was in the States at that time?

Wouldn't all that have been brought up, during the trial?

And if true. Why a trial?

I do wish sometimes you would read the articles listed, your questions are answered in the article.

Through a mixture of proven alibis and doubts over details, the defence demonstrated serious flaws, doubtless to the concern of the prosecution.

But what happened next was as dramatic as it was unfair. The prosecution persuaded the judge to alter the stipulated dates in four of the six counts – effectively sidestepping King’s defence.

According to the new dates, the complainants were under 16 – just. But all were older than originally claimed and the reliability of their original statements was surely cast into doubt.

King wanted to make a vigorous protest, but had no one to make it for him. Neither his solicitor nor barrister was present in court – his barrister had left court to appear at the Victoria Climbié inquiry.

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (UPI) -- The Pakistani Islamic council's leader has proposed that husbands should be allowed to "lightly beat" their wives as discipline.

Mohammad Khan Sheerani's proposed bill says light beating is acceptable to instill fear, including the use of a small stick. But forceful beating is not allowed.

The 75-page proposal is in response to the rejected Punjab Women Protection bill for abused women

It's not much of a victory considering that you destroyed this thread in the process.

With so many terrible things happening to women everydwy, I am sure you could have made better use of your posting time.

Message 1797175 - Posted: 18 Jun 2016, 16:44:21 UTC - in response to Message 1797126.

I won again.

What exactly is this 'winning' stuff? What game are you playing and what makes you think anyone is playing the same game as you? Or wants to play the same game as you? Or is it that if you keep claiming you're winning, you look like you're coming out on top like Charlie Sheen?

All I do is enter your, and other's alleged thinking universe. Respond in the same manner, and with the same silly thinking as the original poster. Using a similar analogy. Then I'm attacked as...

Do you, and other's, have the capacity to understand they are attacking a mirror image of themselves?

Nope.

You keep saying you're playing some sort of mirror, which tends to generalize against all liberals, yet you still haven't seen the irony when you get defensive when others do that to, for example, the police. You're just as guilty as everyone else of all that you allege against liberalism, yet you try to pretend you're playing some sort of intelligent game.

You're not playing an intelligent game. You're just saying anything you want then pointing the finger at everyone else and calling your actions a mirror.

Man gets 6 month sentence in Stanford rape case. Judge says he doesn't want to ruin young man's life. Dad says son shouldn't have his life ruined for "20 minutes of pleasure".

Absolutely disgusting.

[Keep up the attacks against yourself. With all the problems affecting this world. Does give me a smile.

So as an ex-cop, you don't feel any sadness that an a***hole helps to defame a profession you proudly served?

If so, you must have been a lousy cop yourself!
