Hi, For some time I can not work in Ubuntu for my two NVIDIA GTX760. You likely need to enable installing software from "Multiverse" and accept the special licensing that comes with the nVidia drivers. That is not normally enabled by default due to nVidia license restrictions... You have to read and submit to their terms and conditions... All easy enough with a few clicks but something that nVidia need persuading to make easier and to respect user freedom. You've paid money after all... Hi, Thanks for your reply, but is honestly the first time I hear of this issue license "Multiverse" in Nvidia drivers, I can expand the information. In the Ubuntu repositories and I have activated the software "Multiverse" and Nvidia drivers installed properly. In other projects both using Cuda and OpenCL in Ubuntu, I have no problem task. thanks |

Sorry for being too brief... Multiverse is the name of the Ubuntu software packages repository for software that is available from a multitude of sources/licenses. Also, for something like nVidia, there should be lots of comments in the Ubuntu forums to offer help. Good luck, And happy fast crunch in, Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

According to the details, Application details for host 7471924 Your Host has Only run GPU AstroPulses. Since the AstroPulse system has been Broken for almost Half a Year, and there is Not a Stock Linux GPU Mulitbeam App, I'd say that may be the problem. The problem is discussed in this thread; "What you need, first of all, is a SETI@Home application compatible with your operating system..." |

Hi, Thanks for all the answers. I think the issue is becoming clear to me so read the links that have been on the subject. The result is that no tasks for Linux right now both Cuda and OpenCL, according to the ratio of available tasks: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php Thanks and regards. |

Actually, that's not exactly correct. There are plenty of tasks right now for Linux CUDA & OpenCL. In fact ALL the tasks right now Will Work with Linux. The problem is just as stated in those other threads, to use those tasks with nVidia Linux you are going to have to Manually install and configure a Linux Application. A link to a possible candidate for your Linux system is in that other thread; 2nd-April-2015, Cuda 6.0 Linux 64 bit build (experimental, treat with caution), note that supplied app_info.xml will need tailoring, especially for your CPU app. **Should hopefully work for newer GPUs containing Maxwell architecture** Download link (7zip archived files) setiathome_x41zc_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu_cuda60.7z In addition, there is an older nVidia Linux Application available but will probably not work as well as the newer version, http://lunatics.kwsn.info/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=48 It's up to you to make it work on your system. |
