Maybe some already noticed that we got AstroPulse OpenCL app update for Windows and Linux.
These binaries are the best currently available ones so I would recommend those who use anonymous platform config to update to these stock ones.

You knew this question was going to be asked so I might as well ask it :).

It appears this is for ATI cards. Is there one in the works for Nvidia?

It's for all supported GPU: ATI, NV and iGPU. Look to application page more closely.
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php

And correction for fist post: Windows and OS X for now, Linux in its way still.

Thanks. I was looking for the Linux one and missed the ones for Windows or it might have occurred to me that it was on the way.

I do have one more question in advance of the Linux/Nvidia app arriving. The apps that I found were at https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php. My experience has been that is the location that assumes you are not using app_info.xml, i.e. you cannot download them manually. Is there a source where you can download the files and edit your current app_info.xml?

Yes, they can be downloaded manually from Berkeley's servers. Can't tell precise links though cause I'm using anonymous platform too on own hosts.

Thanks Raistmer!
Haven't found the download link yet (If I *need it to convert from Anon to stock that'll do it I suppose)

Looking for a Readme or such - or just your advice about which of these I should chose if not *all of them
And what's the difference between the cc1 versions and others?
=
As well, I noticed v7 has a stock CUDA50 app now -any *better than the anon I'm running?

One more *and--saw the v 7.03 OpenCL for everything but my NVidia - is that coming too?

Sorry to bug ya but I hunted and could answer for myself---

- it looks like new apps are online.

My currently app_info entry for Intel iGPU OpenCL (Win8.1 x64):

This does mean I need to download a new AP7_win_x86_SSE2_OpenCL_Intel_r2737.exe, libfftw3f-3-3-4_x86.dll and AstroPulse_Kernels_r2737.cl file now?

What's the name of the new files?
And where is the folder on the SETI server? ;-)
If fastest settings found for above mentioned Intel iGPU OpenCL (r2737 ;-), with the new app I need to make again a bench test run for to find fastest settings?

Thanks.

BTW. I will update (here in this thread) my above mentioned app_info entries if I have the needed names.

May I ask a question? Well I guess that is a question in itself :P

Why do AP tasks not update their remaining time? It's about 3 minutes for an update from what I see.

And the MB tasks update their time quite nicely.

Just wondering.

You are an 'advanced' SETI user?

I made a forum search and found following URL for to download the stock (outdated) v6.03 app.

http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/setiathome_6.03_windows_intelx86.exe

If you open with notepad the client_state.xml file in your BOINC/program data folder and search to 'http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/*' (or something similar) you could find the URLs of the new .exe, .dll and .cl.

Just an idea. ;-)

AFAIK, every '+0.9% Progress' the AP OpenCL apps make a 'checkpoint' (calculating position saved to HDD) then remaining time get an update.

Thanks Dirk, that makes sense since MB tasks run faster than AP tasks.

OK, here we go ... ;-)

After a few tests this is the URL for example for (didn't used BBCode): http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.09_windows_intelx86__opencl_ati_100.exe

Now I should know the related names for the Intel iGPU OpenCL files (.exe, .dll and .cl). ;-)

BTW. Just adding the new names to the app_info file and it's fine, or I need to rename a file (.exe, .dll and .cl) that it works as 'anonymous platform'?

Intel iGPU OpenCL AP v7.09: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.09_windows_intelx86__opencl_intel_gpu_102.exe

Still the same .dll - http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/libfftw3f-3-3-4_x86.dll ?

And the .cl - http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/AstroPulse_Kernels_r****.cl ? (revision needed ;-)

Thanks.

OK, here are the apps:

ATI/AMD: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.09_windows_intelx86__opencl_ati_100.exe
Intel iGPU: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.09_windows_intelx86__opencl_intel_gpu_102.exe
NVidia CUDA*: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.10_windows_intelx86__cuda_opencl_100.exe [don't work?]
NVidia CUDA*+**: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.10_windows_intelx86__cuda_opencl_cc1.exe [don't work?]
NVidia OpenCL***: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.10_windows_intelx86__opencl_nvidia_100.exe
NVidia OpenCL**+***: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.10_windows_intelx86__opencl_nvidia_cc1.exe [don't work?]

[* for BOINC < v7.x]
[** for pre-Fermi NVidia GPUs, e.g. GTX2xx series]
[*** for BOINC v7.+]
AFAIK & IIRC ;-)

OK, enough from me for now. ;-)

Now it's time maybe for a member of the Lunatics crew. ;-)

Pre-EDIT ;-) : 'don't work?', maybe because this is always the '7.10 (opencl_nvidia_100)' app, it's just a '.xml file thing'?

Currently I have experiences just with the CPU apps ;-) and the Intel iGPU OpenCL app, so just there I can tell you my experiences ...

I looked around and also in the SETI-Beta forum ...

Intel iGPU OpenCL app:
app: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.09_windows_intelx86__opencl_intel_gpu_102.exe
.cl file: http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/AstroPulse_Kernels_r2742.cl

I let run this app with the libfftw3f-3-3-4_x86.dll file from the Lunatics Installer v0.43a. I don't know if there is a new/other file available now.

Here the app_info entries:

        </file_ref>
    </app_version>

<version_num>704</version_num> for the already downloaded tasks in BOINC & <version_num>709</version_num> for the next new tasks which BOINC will get.
In future if you have just only 709's in BOINC you can delete the whole:
<app_version>
...
<version_num>704</version_num>
...
</app_version> - entry.

BTW. I have Win8.1 x64, no dual-boot OS or something. Just two accounts (admin & normal user). So I use just <platform>windows_x86_64</platform>. That's OK, or?
If someone have an other OS settings (dual-boot or something) the <platform>windows_intelx86</platform> is additional needed, or?

Thanks.

Maybe some already noticed that we got AstroPulse OpenCL app update for Windows and Linux.
These binaries are the best currently available ones so I would recommend those who use anonymous platform config to update to these stock ones.

thx, will check if it works on a laptop's HD 3450m... ;)

Unfortunately the HD3000 series don't support OpenCL & the HD4000 series had "beta" OpenCL support.

Sorry for the confusion, but referring to Radeon HD GPUs not Intel HD GPUs.
