Apparently this is a thermal spa in a cave in Hungary? Its like a dripstone cave. You can drive with a boat which takes about 15 minutes. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

What??? Macaroni pies?? Never heard of them! Didn't have a Gregg's in Dunoon 35 years ago, so never got to try one. Looks easy enough to make - elbow macaroni and tomato-meat sauce in a pastry bowl, and the arty said there were recipes available on-line. Might try my hand at it - but not until the heat comes off. 100F-106F for the next 10 days - I'm not going near a stove...... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

I made something most excellent for breakfast this morning. Cooked two slices of bacon. Toasted two frozen chocolate chip waffles. Spread the waffles with cream cheese. Put a slice of bacon on each waffle and fold it over. Yum. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

I made something most excellent for breakfast this morning. Add scrambled eggs and a sausage patty, you have Taco Bell's Waffle Taco. @Chris: Di gustibus, as Dr. Asimov used to say..... Dangit, now I'm hungry. Wonder if I have any ice cream left....... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Oh, boy.... That would work. Or a peanut butter, braunschweiger, and bacon sandwich on toast..... Back in the 80s, I flew from San Diego to Milwaukee for my Mom's youngest sister's wedding. My Dad, and Aunt & Uncle from St. Louis met me at Mitchell Field. We stopped for lunch at a little roadhouse near the airport, name long forgotten. The lunch special was a bratwurst burger, grilled with Andecker beer, grilled onions and a slice of cheddar cheese on top, with thick-cut steak fries, and a mug of Andecker beer. Just what I needed after a long plane flight. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |
