A large Whisky Mac, with plenty of honey, lemon and whisky.... It might do something for my sore throat and headache...

Apparently this is a thermal spa in a cave in Hungary?

Its like a dripstone cave.
You can drive with a boat which takes about 15 minutes.

In recognition of the loss of one of Scotland's "favourite" foods, pray a moment of silence...

What??? Macaroni pies?? Never heard of them!

And at First Minister's Questions in the Scottish Parliament, Nicola Sturgeon revealed that while she was "not a lover of the macaroni pie", she had been lobbied on the issue by her own family. "I've always been an obedient and loyal daughter and this occasion is no different."

Ye gods, you couldn't make it up ...... Sorry Rob, I feel so very strongly about that woman!!

Didn't have a Gregg's in Dunoon 35 years ago, so never got to try one. Looks easy enough to make - elbow macaroni and tomato-meat sauce in a pastry bowl, and the arty said there were recipes available on-line. Might try my hand at it - but not until the heat comes off. 100F-106F for the next 10 days - I'm not going near a stove......

I made something most excellent for breakfast this morning.

Cooked two slices of bacon. Toasted two frozen chocolate chip waffles. Spread the waffles with cream cheese. Put a slice of bacon on each waffle and fold it over. Yum.

Add scrambled eggs and a sausage patty, you have Taco Bell's Waffle Taco.

Dangit, now I'm hungry. Wonder if I have any ice cream left.......

Oh, boy....
Now you made my hungry.
Braunshweiger and onion sammich coming up.

That would work. Or a peanut butter, braunschweiger, and bacon sandwich on toast.....

Back in the 80s, I flew from San Diego to Milwaukee for my Mom's youngest sister's wedding. My Dad, and Aunt & Uncle from St. Louis met me at Mitchell Field. We stopped for lunch at a little roadhouse near the airport, name long forgotten. The lunch special was a bratwurst burger, grilled with Andecker beer, grilled onions and a slice of cheddar cheese on top, with thick-cut steak fries, and a mug of Andecker beer. Just what I needed after a long plane flight.
