I've drilled down into the results and some delays appear to be caused by holiday vacations offices closed, etc. Others due to the few volunteers who have massive queues and slow returns or worse yet no returns what so ever. Others, particularly since the 29th, appear to have no explaination at all. 3 or 4 WU's sent and returned without errors but validation state is still "initial". <img src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/teambanner.php?teamname=GasBuddy"> <img src="http://www.boincstats.com/stats/banner.php?cpid=84c0cf7846cbf28338406e54b3eb8a83"> |

I believe the validator has completely stopped. Have not received any credits in the last 10 to 12 hours. I am pretty much in the same boat as you as are many of the crunchers out there. Hope Berkeley does something about this in the morning! Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

The Validator hasn't stopped, but it sure is running slow, I've been getting Credit off and on all day long. I'll go 3-5 hr's without any credit then get 400-500 credits all at once. |

Indeed the Validator is running at a much slower pace. Having 3-4 pages of "Pending" workunits really hurts, especially across 4 systems. Hopefully things will get a little faster once the work-week starts tomorrow :) <BR><B>SimGuy - #23 on Overclockers.com SETI@Home BOINC Team</B> Active Crunchers: Athlon 64 FX-55, P4 3400E @ 3600, P4 3200E @ 3600, AXP 2500+ @ 3200+<BR><BR><IMG SRC="http://sigs.axpr.net/?sah=192461"> |

I return every WU in not more than 2 days, but the turnaround parameter from the DB shows more than 12 days(if it is calculated in relation with "granted", [and "granding" is so slow at the moment,] than this calculation is wrong). also the RAC drops dramatically....;-( I have posted this days ago, instead of a clear reply it goes only worser and worser (no offense !!!) ===== begin here to look and look at the following (next page) pages too : http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=7806448&offset=60 |

Turnaround numbers change when a WU is validated...and so if the validator is backlogged, only an occasional one of your results will be validated. Thus your turnaround number won't change much. Example: For some reason your host did not return 4 overdue WU. This would bump your turnaround number up to about 12. Then, because of backlog, the validator hadn't validated any of your recent good results, which were returned in one day or less...the number won't change until more of your quick WUs get validated. Note: Resetting or detatching with several WUs in your queue will cause all of those WUs to eventually go "overdue" and effect your turnaround. |

So it's a bit curious that it effects after 3 weeks.... Anyway thanks for your reply |

Just as a quick note, counting all my pending credit (near 5,000 credits), i'm "unofficially" over 10K :) |

The backlog is growing for everyone. I'm less concerned with being awarded credit and more with having results being properly processed by the system again. Hope things get worked out soon! |

Looks like things might happen sooner rather than later: January 3, 2005 We'll be down for about an hour for database updates. |
