Well, I've finally finished in the brewroom and produced 19L of spirits @ 40% which I'll flavour up tomorrow after I've had an extended sleep (I only got about 3hrs in last night), so I'll bid you all g'nite and may your beers be chilled and always in supply. Cheers. |

TGIF:) Carek ji Caran, Hebû Nebû (once upon a time) two Kurdish boys used to gather around their respective family elders and listen intensively to dramatic stories about Kurdistan. Tales of how families and legends were created out of love and unity. Stories so inspiring that they one day hoped to be able to share them with the rest of the world. When they met as adults they not only had the same storytelling experience in common, they also shared the same goal in life; to create something that celebrated their background, history and other peoples stories, to create something that brings people together and something that can be shared around the world. The result? Ava Zêr. It means "Water of Gold". The ultimate lager for when you want to bring tales to life and share your stories. It does not matter who you are, where you are from, what you have experienced in life or what you do today – you have a unique story to tell, the story of your life and the story of your dreams. http://www.avazer.com/ Özz says Nosh:) |

Drink up ZS, as my favorite saying by Ben Franklin goes "Beer is proof God loves us." Cheers! All! "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Most of my view from here is just grass, trees, hills and then more of the same for as far as the eye can see. If I was to have a beer it would be Victoria Bitter or if I was feeling special I would have Crown Lager. |

G'morning everyone, from a misty Saturday morning in the highlands down under. Isn't it amazing how much better a person feels after 10hrs of sleep. :-) 4.5hrs until Beer O'clock here so I'll just watch the morning news, then turn that spirit into rum & bourbon, though I have no idea what I'll do to fill in the rest of the time. Cheers. |

Wiggo what kind of laws you have with making rum or bourbon? or is thier none? Good question. I don't know what the answer is here in Kentucky, lol, but it's still a good question. ;~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Wiggo what kind of laws you have with making rum or bourbon? or is thier none? There are rules and the main 1 is the size of the still so if it's big enough to produce commercial quantities you must have a liquor license to operate it (mine is very small, but not the smallest). And #2: Do not sell it (unless you have an approved liquor license to do so). There maybe more, but I don't know about them, though all my stuff is store bought from the local homebrew stores. So I can't produce commercial quantities and I don't sell it either or I wouldn't have enough for myself, spending a whole day in the brewroom once every 3-4 months is enough for me and beer must take 1st priority here. ;-) But using a still you must understand it and what comes out of it (other than just the ethyl alcohol). What comes out 1st is methanol which must not be drunk (unless you want to die) and with the size of my still means that the 1st 70ml must be kept separated though I take the 1st 100ml off each batch in the still to very safe and I keep it as glass cleaner. Then there's the acetone which must be removed by a charcoal filter. Anyhow I better get myself another coffee. ;-) Cheers. |

My favorite name for a liquid libation is Liebfraumilch which loosely would mean Mother's Milk. I have suckled at that nipple for many years. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Better known as Liquid bread. I would be right at home at Hopland just up the road. :))) In ancient Egypt beer was a liquid bread. In that time they didn't know what yeast was but they figured out when putting bread in barley water it starts to ferment. The result was probably more like a soup then a beverage... |

Don't drink water, that's the stuff that rusts pipes. Another attributed to the Great W.C. was "You can get just as drunk on water, as you can on land." and {*paraphrased for sensibilities)"I never drink water, fish *do nasty things* in water." "lD) "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |
