Well I wasn't much into wine but I did okay with beer (after high school days)

Drinking back the was 18 at that time but we would get a case and go fishing down by the lake and had a big fire and one hell of a good time.
Cheers everybody

I'm sorry to hear about your sad news Mike. :-(

Well I've had 1 of those days today with half of it spent in town (it was bloody freezing in there) and now I'm just having an hours rest before heading out for the night. :-)

It's good to see you back Grant. :-)

Well I think that I can squeeze in a rum or 2 before I get picked up so I better go and get the 1st.

Cheers.

I think people like that cannot find any positivity in their future anymore, Grant, very sad indeed..

As I may have said before, I have two friends, more like brothers, whom I have known for 45 years. One has dementia and is now basically a vegetable and the other has terminal Prostate Cancer. I worry about them constantly because of the lack of positivity in their future, and I wonder about what I would do should I find myself in similar straights.

I was in a band in 2010 thru 2012 with a good friend as the drummer. He had a very large problem with Alcohol, the despair of which led to the dissolution of the group and eventually caused him to intentionally step in front of a train.......Mike, I know your pain, and I'm so sorry.

Weekend! Hooray! Beer o'clock! Yeehaa! More exclamation marks!!!!!!! :) Peace and cheers everyone :)

PS Does yeehaa have an "H" at the end? I think it does but my browser dictionary is coming up with "Heehaw" as an alternative spelling.

I'm sorry to hear about your friends. I've been depressed all my life, but suicide has never been a logical answer for me.

I think depression and alcohol goes hand in hand.
Many people are suffering from depression in the World.
As much as 10% I have read.
Now if you self medicate with alcohol then it's very dangerous.

I went to a pig roast once. They literally dug a pit and cooked a whole pig in it.

I'm going to experiment on friends with the grilling this weekend. I'm going to use the Meatball recipe I posted in 'Cooking for Real' and flatten them into patties for grilling 'Meatball Sliders'.

We'll see how that goes........

Thanks for your kind thoughts Gordon.

Anybody want some of this rain? It has been a wet wet month. 21.39 inches locally (10.41 inch las 10 days) and a promise of more to come. I live next to a lake and they had to release water from the dam. Lake levels are way up. The dirt road I live on is washed out and not passable in spots. I'm on the wrong end of the wash. The wet weather just sucks right now.
