Julie I tried to paint 2 times like Bob Ross and failed both times, I guess I don't have a hand at it.

I loved watching Bob Ross paint happy little trees. :~)

Yes he has a perfect pic and puts a tree in it which looks ok but I think better without. (happy little tree)

Right! I sometimes wonder why he starts to stick those trees in, but then it ends up looking real good. I'm just amazed at how quickly he puts it all together.

That's it. :~)

He's of course painting in oils, but my mom painted a lot of watercolors when I was a kid. I've just never had the talent. I've tried.

I like this one very much:

Time lapse drawing and painting thingys always fascinated me.
Mostly because I don't have an artist's bone in my body.
Give me a computer or a wrench and I can make it work.
Give me a paint brush or a charcoal pencil and it's like...duh?

Good band, but I'm not quite sure what the little fella in the space suit is doing. It looks like he's spraying fire from the rays of the sun.

You think so? I'm not sure the picture fits the song.

I edited my last post, that's what I think the message of the drawing is. Everything begins pure and in the end everything is destroyed. Could also mean a destruction because of the sun of which we all know that this is our fate, if we don't destroy earth ourselves first.

I think that's a good interpretation of the drawing. The song just seems a little more hopeful. :~)

I have always admired the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, they had an exhibit of 75 of his works here from the Gates collection 2 years ago. I was in awe walking through the museum........then I saw Renoir's "Luncheon of the Boating Party" and was dumbstruck!

The dregs of wine in the glass in front of the woman in blue seemed to actually glisten in sunlight! This slammed home to me the power of a great artist like nothing else.

Cheers to Renoir:) Ellen Andrée is in that painting.
Ellen Andrée (1857–1925) was a French model for Edgar Degas and other impressionists in the 1870s living in the Rue de Rocher in Paris
