From the couple unit's I've run so far on the VIA Nano X2 1.6ghz board I have here the performance for CPU crunching is pretty good compared to a 2.1ghz Opteron 6272 .. but at a lot lower power and heat!!

Only downside is trying to run a GPU out of the PCI-e x1 slot with one of those usb extenders doesn't work on the board. I guess VIA never expected anyone to toss an external video card in the systems..

Apparently some motherboard manufactures limit the types of hard that they allow to enumerate in PCIe x1 slots. I have asked ASrock a few times if the mPCIe x1 slot on my Q1900-ITX board, with use a of mPCIe to PCIe x16 slot adapter, would support a GPU but I have yet to get an answer.
