Looks like no more splitting due to lack of storage space (I'm guessing - Until the assimilators are started to clear completed work.) Something has certainly died. No MB work being produced, and the result-turnaround-time, and received-in-the last hour (for both MB & AP) graphs have flat lined. It's dead Jim. Grant Darwin NT |

Looks like no more splitting due to lack of storage space (I'm guessing - Until the assimilators are started to clear completed work.) Is someone working in the middle of the night at seti? I just got work again. And they are all 0's and 1's. only one resend. |

Looks like no more splitting due to lack of storage space (I'm guessing - Until the assimilators are started to clear completed work.) Looks like splitting has genuinely resumed, with a sustained good result creation rate. There was a sharp spike in the cricket graph on the stroke of midnight, so it may have been an automatic watchdog script restarting something, rather than human intervention. |

There was a sharp spike in the cricket graph on the stroke of midnight, so it may have been an automatic watchdog script restarting something, rather than human intervention. Hope it lasts. Result-turnaround-time & returned-last-hour data is still frozen. Grant Darwin NT |

Result-turnaround-time & returned-last-hour data is still frozen. Well, it was updated, once. Now it's frozen again. "Please keep Your signature under four lines so Internet traffic doesn't go up too much" - In 1992 when I had my first e-mail address - |

Speaking of molasses, has anyone been on the Boinc boards today? I think molasses would be faster right now. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

We have yet to find it, but we are looking. Yes, a very good documentary, but it gave me a few problems. I haven't cut my hair for two years, I hadn't shaved since last Easter. In short, I looked a lot like John Ellis in that doco. Everyone who knew I worked at CMS assumed it was in fact me in the prog. I shaved my beard a couple of weeks earlier than I normally do. Terrible to be mistaken for a theoretical physicist... |

The assimilator/validator backlogs have reached new record highs. And they continue to set new records. 11 million awaiting validation, 4 million awaiting Assimilation. It also appears Received in the last hour & Average turn around time for both MB & AP have stopped updating as has the Replica lag data. Not wanting to jinx things, but MB splitter output is showing the best sustained output for probably a year or more. The ready-to-send buffer didn't run out after the outage, and it's continuing to refill it a remarkable rate. Grant Darwin NT |

980s run much cooler than 780s - they use only about 2/3 the power. If heat is what you want, go back to the 5xx, 4xx or 2xx. Not so. You forget that Boinc gets a bit quirky reporting what cards are in a multi GPU rig. For example, one has 2 580s and a 680, but reports as 3 680s. Another has 2 580s and a 560, but reports as 3 560s. So, what you see ain't exactly what I got running. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Incredibly, when I checked my account a couple of hours ago, my i7 had a full cache of 200 tasks in progress. Woo! David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Incredibly, when I checked my account a couple of hours ago, my i7 had a full cache of 200 tasks in progress. Woo! My i7 also has 200 In process, but it also has 425 Validation pending. This is abut 30% higher than I've seen before. I can't wait for things to get back to normal...whatever that is. |

The assimilator/validator backlogs have reached new record highs. I believe the reason for this is because they are cleaning out the major databases |

FYI the database checks and index rebuilds are all finished as of this morning (whew!) and I'm just doing a full database backup before starting the assimilators up again (tomorrow morning at the latest). I'm not entirely confident this whole exercise fixed the recent crash problem, but we shall see. - Matt -- BOINC/SETI@home network/web/science/development person -- "Any idiot can have a good idea.
