Looks like it's time to move to Africa. North America and Europe are getting smeared quite properly. I wonder which spot belongs to Monday and Wiggo down under?

Perhaps, it would be better to have the dynamic map as a screen-saver?
Then, we wouldn't have to go on-line to run it (better security).

The screensaver takes too much computer power.

Not at all. But it's prone to virus attacks.

Thats the reason its disabled in optimized apps.

OK:) But it's not power but CPU and GPU usage.
Use Process Explorer and you will see that that screensaver is not by far using the graphic card as much as SETI crunching.
Depending of what computer you have of course.

Doesn`t matter what process explorer says.
I`m testing the apps at Lunatics, screen saver is slowing down more than 50%.
Just wasted cycles.

I don't use a screensaver, actually. But, to view it, once in awhile, is
somewhat enlightening. Same for running TThrottle. It can affect #resets
with QCN. Again, just to spot things.

The SETI map is a very good graphic representation of the computer traffic,
never-the-less.

Interesting how most of the US usage is on the coasts, with relatively little in between. At the same time, Europe is mainly a band across the middle, with less to the north and south.

It's pretty sparsely-settled, in the Midwest, David. In N. Dak., one can
drive eighty miles without seeing a single car.

I am thinking the one in South Africa is John Neale. If that is a yes, a good way to know is is still around.

I was watching for a few minutes, and saw several different spots in South Africa pop up. And about 6 different spots on the south and east coasts of Australia.

That thing is mesmerizing.......
