Everyone knows that one of Star Trek's most used technologies is the transporter. Pick up matter here and deposit it there. I wonder if such technology is ever really developed how long it will take for someone to figure out it could be used to replace having to sit on the john for up to an hour to remove waste material. Of all of the bodily functions that is the one I would like to do away with the most. Just imagine, go into the restroom, push a button, you body gets scanned and the poop is removed.

Before that happens we will probably develop food that is 100% used by the body. We already have dog food that reduces feces to about 10% or normal. We very well could end up deleting dejon.

Never thought of using the transporter for that, but it's a novel idea! :~)

Fiber is good and it makes the task at hand easer. On the other hand when we had horses we would sometimes go to the processing plant and get a pickup full of rejected carrots. Not only was the volume greatly reduced but the orange color made it easy to find all the deposits.

The super computer and sensor ability would make it possible to track all your possessions so you would never misplace your keys or eyeglasses again.

If you don't have a reaction to Retinox 5 and sometimes old school still has it's advantages. All of our locks today could be electronic keypads but we still carry a keychain because keys are far more reliable in most applications.

If that happens. What will you do with all your unread books, magazines and news papers?

In how many episodes of Star Trek did we see women in labor... generally at the most inopportune of times!!!

Ok, fess up. When that happened how many of us screamed at the t.v. "Lock on to coordinates and beam that baby out!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Building a ship for space on Earth, then having the ship/space station(plus the contents) jump/beam itself to orbit, would solve the need for expensive launches.

Yup, save your pattern in the buffer and reassemble as needed ;-) I think there was an episode where a duplicate was created... more like Transporter cloning than immortality.

There was. Two Riker's.
Then in two other episodes they used the transporter to modify people's ages.

What about the medical scanner? Would that be a cure for hypochondria?
