I'm telling you all, this is NOT the month for teeth... Today at 5 PM the filling on my left upper rear molar shattered. Too late to go to my Dentist to get it fixed. Now, I'm stuck with this sharp pointed edge in the center of the molar. Ice water hurts to drink. I'm stuck like this until Monday at 7:30 AM when the Dentist's office opens. Another debt to add to the growing dental debt.

Prior balance: $90.00

4-1-2015 Emergency Visit for veneer: $118.00

4-3-2015, paid: $59.00

Balance: $149.00

+ New filling work on Monday... $???

I'm TIRED of porcelain fillings, if possible I'm going back to silver.

Wish me luck and pray that I can make it through the weekend without the pain getting any worse.

This SUCKS!!! :-(

Goodnight everyone.

Goodnight everyone.

Good luck with it.
I have a lower left molar giving me grief right now. Only when I bite down on it, not a constant ache. Did a round of antibiotics first to make sure it was not an abscess, but that did not clear it up. So the old filling is gonna have to be drilled out and replaced. Not fun, tooth problems.

Meow.

Tooth problems, I've been there, I had 3 molars drilled and filled when I was a kid, none since, then all 3 started to act up, oh not all at once, first one, then another, then the last one, I had all 3 pulled, I couldn't afford a root canal on the last one, that one is in My upper right jaw, the other two are on the right and left sides of My lower jaw, the wisdom teeth in My lower jaw came out from under the gum closed the gap a bit, so I only miss that upper molar, today it would need an implant, but that isn't happening today, Denti-Cal will pay for a dentures, crowns and cleaning, but not an implant or two or three from what I researched, all thanks to the State Legislature. I do know partial dentures are out too, thankfully I don't need dentures or crowns. So I just continue to chew on My left side. Teeth are not cosmetic, only a fool thinks that. Of course the State Legislature years ago cut the fee paid by Medi-Cal by 10% to Doctors/Dentists(and have not restored that either) and so getting seen is almost impossible since most don't want to lose money on Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal patients and so they won't accept either one as a patient... Winning on a sunny Saturday morning.
Yeah, I've got a couple molars that were filled in 1970 that have recently broken out under the fillings. Hey, they lasted 45 years, that ain't bad. VA dentist is going to replace them, and a couple others, with new teeth next month.

That's the same with mine. Very old fillings that have done their duty and are finally in need of replacement. Can't complain too much about that.
