Here we go again:( When comparing global corruption this starts to be silly! Look at North Korea and Somalia! Compare that to the US and Britain! BTW How do you find facts for corruption in Russia for instance? Or anywhere for that matter. |

"Legalised" corruption? "A report in The Nation in 2014 suggested that while the number of 12,281 registered lobbyists was a decrease since 2002, lobbying activity was increasing and "going underground" as lobbyists use "increasingly sophisticated strategies" to obscure their activities." Something to hide? |

The Tax code is complex because basically the American congress is corrupt. Its complex because its choke full of nice little loopholes that were put in there by every lobby representing some sector of the economy in order to minimize corporate taxes and taxes for the wealthy. Its designed to be complex so people like Mitt Romney only have to pay like 13% taxes over their income. Its a fact that American corporations have lobbied every tax bill so hard that its full of holes those corporations can make use of. Technically its not 'corrupt' because this is all very much legal. But really, if the private sector spends billions of dollars on lobbyists, I don't really care if its technically legal, its corrupt in the sense that it turns politicians into pawns for corporations, rather than representatives of the people. Its unfair and its definitely not what democracy is supposed to be about. |

Riiiiight...........it's all in our heads.......... 1) Healthcare –Control healthcare and you control the peoplePlease cite your reference as to the 'worst health care in the industrial world. It is controlled by government in that we are not free to buy any health care insurance, only those offered in my state AND through the GOVERNMENT PORTAL. Single males are forced to buy policies that cover pregnancy and female birth control due to the 'one size fits all' Obamacare. 2) Poverty –Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live. And by over-regulation, increased costs of LEGAL fees and other necessities to ensure compliance with DOJ, EPA, FCC, FTC, and AHCA, there are less funds to dedicate to wages and benefits for employees. Increased taxation(actual and hidden) has caused businesses not to expand or hire, in fact there were massive layoffs and that is still ocurring. 3) Debt –Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty. > Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase > Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.036 trillion increase > George H.W. Bush’s Term – $1.587 trillion increase > Bill Clinton’s First Term – $1.122 trillion increase > Bill Clinton’s Second Term – $418 billion increase > George W. Bush’s First Term – $1.885 trillion increase > George W. Bush’s Second Term – $3.014 trillion increase > Barack Obama’s First Term – $5.806 trillion increase and by his own administration's estimates that will be a total increase of 10 Trillion Dollars (US) by Dec. 31st 2016. Clearly you need to review your 'facts'. 4) Gun Control –Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state. Again you need to check your FACTS: “President Obama pressed for an array of measures to curb gun violence last year in response to the 2012 killing spree at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. that left 26 people dead. The administration announced nearly two dozen executive actions, including nearly completed regulations designed to improve the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). “ Sounds great on the surface, but all of these measures are aimed at LEGAL OWNERS OF FIREARMS. The Newtown killings were committed by an insane individual who stole the weapon from his mother and killed her. Background checks are the 1st step to confiscation as proven already by the New York City Police Department who last year notified legal owners of firearms in the city to turn in their weapons. 5) Welfare –Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income). Yeah, the Bushes and Reagan are responsible for the largest expansion of Welfare in the country's history(sarcasm font). AND the recipients can use their benefits to buy Alcohol and drugs without repercussion. Well I guess that does expand one aspect of the economy(but somebody who is actually earning a paycheck must pay for these binges). 6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school. Common Core......... 7) Religion – Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools. The US Dollar (itself an object of worship by some) bears the motto “In GOD we Trustâ€. The US Capitol contains a “Prayer Room†with the following inscriptions :"Annuit coeptis" (God has favored our undertakings) and "Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust." — Psalm 16:1 And more and more Americans ARE putting their children in private or religious or EVEN BETTER Charter Schools(which are required to receive equal support of the states education system). This will eventually destroy the public school system in America. 8) Class Warfare –Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor. Where do you think the middle class went? Their businesses are being taxed and regulated out of existence. The fruits of their labors are being squandered on healthy, intelligent 'citizens' who, according to you, have the right to be supported by the 'Judeo/Christian' work ethic of others(your words from a prior post). WOW, I couldn't have scripted the current Administration's agenda more clairvoyantly if I were Kreskin(a charleton mind reader from the 70's). Well, apart from the fact that the current administration does non of these things in the way you think they are doing it. Please review items 1 – 8 above. I recognized our total dichotomy of thought. I also recognize the futility of discussing logical thought with you. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Well, considering that America has some of the WORST healthcare in the industrialized World. No. the USA has the best Healthcare in the World. But also the most expensive. In December 2010, published the International Monetary Fund, IMF, a study in which they calculate the cost of care will be developed in the future. The report compares 50 countries. Yes punchline. Sweden judged would reach 8.3 percent of GDP on health care expenditures - among the lowest in Europe - while the US for instance is up to 18.9 percent, nearly a fifth of the country's total GDP. |

Where do you think the middle class went? Their businesses are being taxed and regulated out of existence. Having been there the middle class as I remember it was seriously attacked during the Reagan era, that was when I ceased being a Republican, then NAFTA came along. The slide down to the lowest common denominator has been constant since those two historical events. As for taxes and regulations I worked in and owned a small business for over 38 years and your contention simply is not true. |

It is equally impossible to open an oyster without a knife to open the mouth of a lawyer without a fee. So please no lawyers in politics:) And I think that politics should be rated as PG13:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JnToiuWL2A Longer version with English subtitles:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btFJrtVwjfg |

I personally don't agree with everything Thirsty believes. Clyde I lived through it and Thirsty is wrong, his perception of reality and mine is very different. I did point it out, so reread my post. |

Well, while dg6580004's list may be a fabrication attributed to Alinsky, Alinsky's REAL list published in his book 'Rules for Radicals' (1971) bears some scrutiny. Particularly Rule 5 on page 128 of http://archive.org/stream/RulesForRadicals/RulesForRadicals_djvu.txt The fourth rule carries within it the fifth rule: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage. This tactic is frequently used here. |
