As a non-hunter, I was invited to kill deer by some associates (I did kill humans in Vietnam, who were trying to kill me).

Long story, short: After much hesitation. Decided it would be a 'Learning Experience' regarding why people hunt animals for 'sport'.

Equipped with a high-powered scoped rifle, and license: I couldn't even raise my rifle to kill this poor deer.

Still don't understand this 'sport'.

I understand people who go hunting wild hogs, 'cause they r tasty vermin!

but 2 hunt a deer? nope, not my style! ;)

I know for a fact that meat gets destroyed when an animal is killed under stress...
