Shared joy is double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.

And when shared with kitties....the ratio gets even better.

This should show us that math isn`t always correct.

My night supervisor for somewhere around ten years died over the weekend. He was a good boss to have. He had a laid back style of management. Very easy to get along with. Going to miss him.
The General Manager said his replacement was going to come from in house. Possibly one of the day guys. Going to be a bit of shuffling until then. Just hope he is going to be a good guy and not a corporate prig. Crossing my fingers hoping for the best.

A change of manager or supervisor can be a difficult time if their management style differs radically from their predecessor.

Been there, suffered that.

Hope the transition goes well for you, Admiral.

They are planting him today. Want to be there but going and having to go straight to work is a long haul. My job is letting anyone on day shift off early to go to his sent off. Not sure how many night shifters are going. I'm just going to have to settle for just missing that Mexican.

Europe is in mourning now:(

Vernet. "There was nothing to do. Nothing" said Jean-Louis Bietrix to swedish DN. He is one of the mountain guides who were first on the scene of the disaster in the Alps yesterday.
Jean-Louis Bietrix lower his eyes and becomes silent when he describes what he saw.
- You really need to know that it was an accident scene to understand that it was just that. It looked more like ... a rubbish dump. There was no bit of the plane that was larger than this, he says, holding his hands with a half-meter distance.
- It was obvious that there was no rescue, he says.
The rock wall where the plane crashed according to him is steep, around 70 degrees!

This is just my opinion but I Think the copilot was suffering from depression.
It's very hard to tell whether it's just a bad mood or if it's a sickness.
I have noticed so many good comedians that suddenly take their own Lifes.
Many Swedish artists but I know about a few Americian who has done the same.
Robin Williams, Ernest Hemingway not a comedian but....

- We choose pilots very carefully. And we do not just watch cognitive skills but also on the psychological capacity. We use a so-called DLR tests. This test is an internationally recognized tool to use to test pilots, says Carsten Spohr.

The pilots undergo regular medical examinations, but there is no explicit psychological tests, according to Der Spiegel.
