Well, well, well, - an old-fashioned Tuesday outage today - actually finished in a reasonable amount of time and I did NOT run out of GPU work. Here's hoping this means a return to some level of stability!!!!

Thanks, staff.

Well folks, time to hope for the best with the weekly outage coming. From what I've experienced with this weekly round out outages every Tuesday morning \ afternoon in regards to UK time zone it takes at least 48 hours for the servers to catch up with demand

I've still got some left over backup CPU work to do still on my main rig if things are as bad as last week.

GPU backup work will get picked as it usually does.

Cheers.

Excuse me!! Hello. You have back up work on you machine at home for when things gets bad as in like last week. As some sort of redundancy plan. Please do explain. How would you go about filling up on back up work. I've been looking threw BOINC and not sure how to "Fill up my Cache" and to be honest I didn't know their was one. can you explain how to do this. :D

For many folks here, they have joined a 2nd (or more) BOINJC project (example, Einstein@Home, etc, see the S@H Front Page). BOINC allows you to run several projects, with the relative amount of time allotted to each project controlled by the Resource Share function.

Those who want to crunch S@H primarily, and another project only when they can't get work from S@H, set Resource Share for S@H to 100 and the Other Project to 0, or some small number.

Edit} Should have looked at your profile first. I see you are also running Rosetta, so you may know how that works.

Still getting work, and plenty of traffic on the network graphs. But it appears all the server status info have died- all graphs have flat lined.

Yeah, SSP hasn't updated since 0300Z.

And.. according to inr-304/8_34, we are now at 31 hours @ ~390Mbit = ~4.95 TiB transferred.

You're right something big is certainly being transferred. I wish we could see the total amount of data per month that go through the server faced to the public, it would be quite something

I am seeing a problem with the pendings from last week, almost all those that were reported on the 04/03 have not been verified and validated or reissued as required.

They are just sitting in the pendings.

Yes, I have 1 of these in my pendings as well, WU 1721100786. Mine reported 3 Mar and "wingman" reported 4 Mar. Now a week later. Hopefully someone or something catches this.

I noticed I have 16 invalids which I found unusual, I started poking around and found a wing man with 743 invalids. WTF? Someone with some expertise should look at computerhttp://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6772486,

He's running GPU-only on that box, and his Radeon card is throwing -9 overflow on every Task. Don't know enough about GPUs to say if it's the driver or the card....

SSP is still frozen and Munin graphs are flatlined, not a panic, just a problem.

It does not have to be about server problems, it can be anything computer related.

Okay, all I saw was ATI GPU Tasks on the first 5 pages I looked at.

Still, he needs to look at that GPU - something ain't working right.

SSP has been updated, Munin is just reading data from SSP so it flatlines when SSP is not updated.

What's going on with Beta? The Scheduler is still saying it's down for maintenance.

If I know it will be a while, I'll let my phone do something else.

It's not the first time they forget to turn Beta back on after maintenance.

Perhaps someone should e-mail them about it.
