Not exactly back up, look at the server status and the Cricket graphs.

Something is wrong with the data base again. The web pages update slowly when they should be fast and snappy. Seems this happens every time they take the system down. They need to start checking for this because we lose about a day of proper operation once a week.
The fastest way to tell if we are having this problem is to go to the account page and look at your task list.

Can't connect to server
Can't connect to server
HTTP service unavailable
Can't connect to server

ad nauseum

Finally put it on NNT and managed to report all the tasks it had. Now have 0 in progress.

But the other box that just crunches a little bit is connecting with no problem.

Yeah, It's getting ready to go down like the Titanic........

130 jobs that can't report......no server contact.......SOSDD.

I think I'll go dark to save the ecosystem until they get things stabilized and the light comes back on for AP.

Has the 'shoestring' finally broken?

Well, maybe there's some light at the end of the tunnel. Reporting is now working somewhat, not reliable, but it is at least doable.

All of my Scheduler requests since the weekly outage have resulted in errors. Add to that the forums are running like a 2 legged dog. And many of the server status numbers aren't updating or ar doing it at random times (and probably using random values)- the graphs are looking very odd.

Should be out of GPU work on one system in a hour or so, and on the other a couple of hours after that.

My main rig's GPU's are back on backup work again (this seems to be a weekly event now), but no matter how many times I try all the tricks, I either timeout or get the http error. :-(

Cheers.

Likewise.
NNT set, and abusing the Retry button like there's no tomorrow but all I get in response are errors. Yet there is all that network traffic going out.

That network traffic going out is apparently going to the lab, per the blue line on 8_34. There may be some very small amount of work going out too.

Out of GPU work on one system, another couple of hours & the other will out if it too.
Just about worn out the Update button, still no joy with reporting.

The same here as well, and if things arn't back online by tomorrow morning here my CPU's will be looking elsewhere for work too. :-(

Cheers.

Reporting is going fine now(not that there's much to report) but if things shape up like last Wednesday work will pick up in 9 hours or so.

Haven't been ale to report since the outage, no matter how many times the Update button has been abused.

I'm sure it will all be fine, in time for the next outage :-)
No tasks left to do now though. Fans are going at very low speed.

At least my electric bill will benefit. Both rigs are down from ~600 to ~200 watts, and when they run out of CPU work, down to ~150 watts. And if it lasts long enough, my electric company will stop nagging me about my using more than my neighbors. Like it's their business.

Boy, this sucks.

Why the hell can't we at least get a heads up on what the (new? old?) problems are?

The last two days I cannot reach the forum pages. I have to visit threads via my account page which is really slow too.

Trying to post to threads is awfully slow. Hit the update button and got this;

03/04/2015 07:42:02 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
03/04/2015 07:42:02 | SETI@home | Reporting 261 completed tasks
03/04/2015 07:42:02 | SETI@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA GPU
03/04/2015 07:44:24 | SETI@home | Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable

GPU work is being handled by Milkyway. Maybe the whole system needs to be bounced.

[edit] Page refresh reminds me of the old days when you watch the page getting painted on the screen. [/edit]
