Well grapes dosen't need Yrast so it must have it's own form of yeast.

Yes on the grapes "skin". Thats even more easier.
Pick a lot of grapes. Squeeze or use your feet to crush the grapes and wait for some days.
Voila Wine:)

I worked with a fellow from Bolivia. He told us that there they use some milk to make alcoholic Beverages. The fermation started when old ladys spat in the milk.
Yack:)

And so the time has arrived to crack open a cold one, and begin the weekend beer o'clock :) Cheers :)

There are yeast spores that are spread by the breeze(one reason for closed container fermentation), that can contaminate a wort or wine and give a different result than expected. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes not so much. A true Trappist Ale is distinguished by a yeast culture that has been propagated for many hundreds of years(basically a cloned organism that has never died).

Another source of yeast in wine, though somewhat distasteful, would be the feet of the mashers. :D)

Yes. Be careful when you handle the precious small "animals/Vegetables".
There are MANY "wild" yeast around. Most of them are tasting disgusting...
Thats why Carlsberg and others save the good ones.

Harrison Ford:)
HeHeHe.
I miss Max von Sydow in Flash Gordon:)

May the 6 pack be with you.

A Ford 6-pack?

G'morning everyone, I'm just enjoying the last sunshine that we're likely to see here for the next week (yes, the rain is coming back, but it'll be cold this time).

Now the only problem is, what am I going to do for the next 3.5hrs seeing as I finished everything yesterday?

Cheers.

A Ford 6-pack? Cheers.

A schoolmate of mine's father Axel had a Ford Falcon.
He was almost like Al Bundy taking care of his Dodge.
And he had 8-track machine where we kids could listen to his tapes.
Crosby, Stills and Nash.
Tina Turner and Tony Joe White of course.

Well if your not going to be operating any machinery later I'd suggest a nice relaxing sit down with a cold one :) Cheers :)

That'd be ok Zapped if it still wasn't so early (I still havn't had enough coffee to separate yesterday's beers from today's yet ;-) )

Well the sun is fighting a battle here now to try stay ahead of the cloud coming in off the coast. :-(

I will duck across the road soon though and get a couple of beer brews to put down during the up coming cold/wet weather.

Cheers.

Great! Wiggo.. I'm still smiling......

Cheers! ZS, Grant, Jan, Wiggo and whoever else has dropped in (Gordon?).

Beer O'Clock is overdue here. We just got 2 feet of snow 18 miles west of me, 1 inch of rain here and tornados 60 miles east......

May we live in 'interesting' times....

But even the pub doors havn't opened yet (still 10mins for that daily event to happen here, it's only 9.50am)

G'day DG sounds like I'll just stick with the coming rain then.

Cheers.

Well I'm on my last coffee break for this morning (that should be enough of a buffer) and I've got my brewing supplies for my next batch.

So we'll see if I can survive 1 more hr. ;-)

Cheers.

No, that's just what we call 'Springtime in the Rockies' (We also have a saying that in Colorado there are only two directions, up and down, and if you don't care for the weather, give it 5 minutes).

We're on the western edge of what is known as tornado alley, and we get more hailstorms than any other inhabited place on earth. This is 70 miles from me and 14,000+ ft elevation. Longs Peak.

CHEERS!
