G'morning everyone, after my late night, just watching the cricket was all I was doing this time.

Now I'm just waiting for a laptop and iPhone to turn up for Thorsday's job of the day.

Beer O'clock in 3hrs.

Cheers.

It should hopefully be a very quick job Zapped, but a lot will depend on the other person's understanding and remembering what to do (it'll be more of a teaching lesson than anything else, I hate teaching).

Cheers.

Yes, I'll probably need an extra beer or 2 during Beer O'clock after that, not to mention that the person should've been here 30mins ago. ;-/

My missus used to handle this sort of work, but sadly next week will be 8th year since her passing. :-(

Cheers.

Cheers!, Mike & Julie, G'day Wiggo(if you're still awake), Good Morning Grant & Gordon.

Grant, you misread me, been retired since 22 June 2010. Wearing those Aloha shirts EVERYDAY now(and shorts, and sandals w/NO socks :))with no one to complain.

Julie, I got my 'inspection' notice a week ago, but in Colorado it's not a safety inspection(like it was 40 years ago), it's a CARBON Emissions inspection. Don't care if the brakes don't work they just want a clean tailpipe.

Gotta love Government logic.

:D .g

We used to have a Vehicle Exhaust Test program here until about 15 or 20 years ago. I really didn't mind it. I remember they used to roll a mirror under the car for some reason.

Good Morning everyone, another good nights sleep. :)

I live far enough north in the state I have no inspection of any kind, in SF I had too every 2 years for smog and they were tight on it too. and during the 2 years don't get cought blowing smoke out your tail pipe or you will get another smog check in the mail to hit one of the stations. Well I don't have to worry about it anymore, my car is still in good shape even though it's a 92 buick with under 100,000 miles.

Beer O'clock in 6 hours

California Smog Law - "After 25 years of age; a vehicle no longer needs to have a smog check."

Don't ask me why; I think it has to do with all the classic cars of the 50's, 60's and 70's still on the road. I think early on in the history of smog checks that the classic car enthusiasts got together to pass that 25 year rule. Though, while it had to be smogged early in its life; my 73 Cougar XR-7 always passed inspection. Had I not lost her in 1990, she'd be on the road today and be smog check free.

You can get a nifty looking antique car plate for your ride here(Kentucky) after it's 25 years old.
