So dolphins and whales never had to invent ways to stay alive like humans did. They are both pretty much at the top of the food chain in the water and really only have to find ways to avoid us. That's because we aren't specialized to living in the water. Sharks don't catch many healthy dolphins or whales which are the mammals I was referring to.
