Grants not going to like this post either. I agree with that. But I have to blame my father for that. He loved greens. He made us kids eat them or try to. I can see having your kids try something. But never make them eat it if they dont like it after the first try. To this day I only eat vegatables from a soup can. Makeing your kids sit at the table untill they eat all that nasty tasting spinach. brocoli and what not does not make for future eaters. I never forced my kids to eat that crap. But they liked it anyways. [/quote] Old James |

I don't know if this is a South sorta thing, but green bean casserole is pretty common around here. I actually have never made it, but I know it's mainly green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and French's French fried onions on top. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I don't think i've had fish fingers (as fish sticks are known in the UK) for about fifteen years, possibly longer. Might have to buy a box on the way home tonight, see if they're as good as i remember. By around 8pm tonight i'll either be elated or depressed. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Grants not going to like this post either. I think I may be one as well. I eat most everything but there are some foods I tolerate. I was trained at an early age my parents to eat foods I didn't like. Grapefruit juice and caraway seeds are the two items I try to avoid because they are extremely bitter. I bough a brand of whole wheat bread that was mixed after they produced the rye bread. Every once in a while one caraway seed would make it into my loaf and I would have work my way through a couple of bitter bites of sandwich. |

In the TV show 'the Addams Family' from the 1960's Wednesday Addams would have asked, is that pizza made from real vegetarians? In a bit of a creepy, charming way, with that character.. And yeah that was the girl characters name, loved that show, a black and white TV show vs all color tv shows of today, but then most sets then were not color capable, much less 1080p like today, but very funny. For Wednesday from Addams family, Samantha Lee uses onigiri (rice balls), nori (seaweed), cheese, green beans, and brown sauce for dark circles. Ken is Pugsley:) |

Potato soup is good during these cold days. Potatoes, onions, celery, butter, salt to taste and evaporated milk. Crackers on the side. Hot and ready to warm you up. |
