Also, I really hope his threat of dirty bombs was just a bluff to get people to cooperate with him.

Well, I haven't changed my opinion about the threat of terrorism.

Also, this guy probably wasn't a 'real' terrorist. He wasn't a Jihadist, he did not appear to have any real intention of hurting people, and there are rumors suggesting his parents either just got divorced or got killed in an accident, which would indicate this guy probably had some mental issues that drove him to do this.

The problem is that we are now treating EVERY unbalanced individual as a potential Jihadist Threat.

This results are severe disruptions of our Institutions, and life, by anyone.

Any solution?

Well, do what I do and remember that you are more likely to get killed by bee stings than terrorism. Only whenever I say that, I'm somehow disrespectful to the victims who actually died in a terrorist attack.

EDIT: short update on this incident. The gun the guy was carrying was fake, he admitted he worked alone, and no one in his direct surroundings understands why he did this. He wasn't known for having extremist views on anything.
