In some sense it is.
Psychologically speaking, Thor is pretty simple, unlike, for example the brooder Odin. Thor was worshiped mainly by the simple people - he's peasants and bondsmen god and was the most popular of the gods. Thor is the god who brings order out of chaos - it is not for nothing that he is called "Mankind's protectors".

Damn!

I missed last week's festivities due to being very otherwise occupied. :-(

Sadly even tomorrow's preparations for this week's celebrations will also have to wait until tomorrow evening as I have a run to do down the hill, then down south along the coast and return (the price is well work it though). :-)
