Thumb screw? No. toilet roll holder for aristocrats Guess it could be used for that but not its purpose. Used in lifting things? Only half the time. Is ink involved in it's use? Only if someone writes a story about the adventure. Ah, nautical... I can see that... maybe to hold ropes. Not Nautical but maybe your on to something. |

This is a hard call, but I found a story that points out the differences been Abseiling and the proper use of this device. So while it can be used for abseiling, that is not it's intended purpose. |
