In my preferences I have the following:
Graphics preferences
Select Custom to edit individual parameters Custom
Text style Pillars
Graph style Wireframe
Maximum frames per second 10
Maximum CPU % for graphics
0 ... 100 5
Graph grow time
seconds 10
Graph hold time
seconds 5
Transparency of surfaces
(0=transparent ... 1=opaque) 0.7
Horizontal oscillation period
seconds 0
Horizontal oscillation range
degrees 0
Vertical oscillation period
seconds 0
Vertical oscillation range
degrees 0
Number of stars = 100
Speed of stars
Try (-1000 ... 1000) 50
Color preferences:
Select Custom to edit individual parameters Tahiti Sunset
Well those are the figures I use to try to keep the screen of graphics without moving, but it continues to go from one angle to the other, up and down, right to left. Obviously these settings were placed several hours ago so it has been updated in my machine.
I just get dizzy of looking at the movement of the -otherwise- nice graphics screen. Any additional help?

I want it to be without a movement! (moving back and forth is just silly, you can not look at the data being shown at the moment).

Have you updated the graphic data?
Yes? Then try to restart BOINC and if that doesn't work, wait until the actual wu has finished.

Yes, you have to do an update to the site after you have made changes to the settings to download the changes. Once that is done, you have to open a new panel to see the changes.

I have complete directions in the BOINC Owner's Manual on how to get there from here ...

BTW, I notice that you have your "Maximum CPU% For Graphics" up at 5%. While I don't know just how much CPU time the graphics take up (I'm still trying to find a way to benchmark a single WU), it is probably possible to safely lower that number (especially since the image is almost completely static).

In my experience, it's usually OK to lower the number to 1% with no problem (a few integrated graphics may not update fast enough, such as my laptop [which stutters even at 5%, so I never use the screensaver on it anyway! =D]). If you've got a "real" video card, I've gotten down to 0.1% without problem on some, and 0.5% seems to work fine for almost all real cards.

I don't know if it will speed up your WUs at all, but it might help a little :)
