I still think it is most likely that they accidentally intercepted a small fragment of a message being sent to a planet or ship in space that just happened to pass through a point that lined up briefly with our planet. If it was an intelligent signal in the first place.

"They" would be more than 4 light years away--it is not likely that a transmission to a ship or satellite would be powerful enough at that distance to cause a "WOW" signal here on earth. The point is that we will never know since it was not recorded to the best of my knowledge. if it were recorded then we would have determined by now if there were any intelligence in the signal.

The necessary alignment of Earth with sender and receiver of the supposed signal beam would be rendered much more likely if the space vessel involved in this scenario were somewhere inside our own solar system. This would also help explain the unusually high power of of the signal, if it were sent from such a vessel. That might indicate that the intended recipient was at a location roughly opposite the celestial bearing of the wow signal, from our point of view.

Let's go back to Roswell.

Roswell Aliens Not So Alien

Nearly 70 years after extraterrestrials supposedly pushed the wrong button in their spacecraft and nose-dived into scrubby ranchland near Roswell, New Mexico, that town is again in the news.

This time the headlines are centered on the discovery of an old Kodachrome slide showing a small, atrophied body laid out in a display case. It seems that the slide was found two dozen years ago in the house of a deceased Arizona couple, although its true provenance is sketchy. Recently, a handful of UFO researchers has decided that this old photo actually depicts an alien corpse, and possibly a victim of the 1947 crash that put Roswell on the public's mental map.

We just don't know for sure we have been visited, it goes beyond comprehension for most of us petty minds but I strongly believe (and have proof for myself, printed in my memory) that they fly by now and then.

I don't doubt for one single moment what you saw, and I expect that you can describe it in every detail. What I am saying is that you have no proof that what you saw is what you think it was i.e. of extraterrestrial origin. It may have looked and sounded like it, and it may well have been, but you don't know that, you believe that. But nobody here doubts your personal belief Julie, neither do we doubt what you genuinely saw.

I am simply putting the view that UFO's are called Unidentified Flying Objects simply because that is exactly what they are. Aerial phenomena that have no rational explanation according to our current scientific knowlege.

What I think should be done viz-a-viz WOW! (or even better, TYC 1220-91-1):
Arrange for several small amateur sized radio telescopes, like would be used in Project Argus, to monitor the location continuously, and not for a few minutes every week or two. My understanding is that such telescopes could detect WOW! and TYC 1220-91-1 was ten times as strong.
If somebody is "painting" the sky with a narrow beam transmission, you would expect to get a brief "ping" like the 11 signals Carl Sagan mentioned in Pale Blue Dot that would repeat at long but regular intervals.
I suggested this to the SARA mail list, but the few members doing SETI said they had their own strategies.

The question of Roswell being a real event has a lot of maybe yes maybe no. I have to look at the results of the last 1000 years to see where the most growth of technology has taken place. The last 100 years we have seen a huge jump in the growth of our Technology. Why the jump?
I would say the most knowledgeable man to contribute to our world had to be Nicoli Tesla. His work was beyond anything that has previously been worked on.
He came up with ideas that were so far fetched but highly credible. He has given us the idea that nothing is impossible. So the thought of saying there is NO ET is just stupid.. There must be. This a pretty big universe or more probably a Multiverse that saying we are it is ludicrous.

As far as the Roswell incident the secrecy involved by the US Government warrants acknowledgment that something did happen. If nothing did then why all the secrecy.
As far as the pics we have seen of the Grey men they are truly false. There is no way that the US Government keeping such a secret would allow pictures to hit the public eye.

Where did the ideas come from that explained how a saucer type craft was seen in the area many times.
If we were to build a ship that was based on Anti gravity as a propulsion system how would it look. It would be a saucer with a spinning outer edge. Exactly what has been seen.
We have now realized that such a machine is not only possible but I would say it is being built.


I believe we have been visited many times in the past. Greek mythology about Gods coming from the sky or the Pictures that are drawn into rock walls in Egypt depicting a flying machine or South America showing the exact same Pictures is telling us we have been visited.

I will leave you with a thought. What if a civilization had the capability to travel through time and Dimensions. What if they knew they were all going to die if they did not seed a planet far away. Their own system made up of many inhabited worlds of humanoids of different color and looks had to be saved.
If I were them I would send a few from each world to a place they knew would be safe from the coming nova. What if that place was Earth. This world is made up of so many different races that it boggles the mind to think how did that happen

To think that different weather or temperatures could change a mans features so much is kind of ridiculous. Evolution? I don't think so.
No my friends if were to discover that man is so old and ancient that our lineage goes back millions of years instead of thousands would that shock you. Our scientists are now learning that we may be that old of a race.

So if we talk about ET and finding other civilizations then maybe we should just turn the telescopes around and look at ourselves.

Since we are still beating this dead horse , I will recount some previous postings on the subject. During the "Cold War" with the Soviet Union we launched high altitude balloons to spy on the Russians to see if there were any A-bomb tests.

One of the balloons was found after it fell to earth after it had burst at high altitude. This prompted all of the area-51 UFO nonsense. It had a silver color to the fabric to keep it from heating up too much from the sun. You can probably find pictures on the internet.

I am 25% Greek myself and tonight I made a wonderful Moussaka for our little family. Ground the lamb, made the Greek tomato sauce with herbs from our garden and topped it with a creamy Béchamel sauce spiced just right with nutmeg and cinnamon. Yum Yum !!
