About 6 weeks or so ago, my desktop computer stopped receiving graphics processor work (Nvidia Geoforce 9800GT). At about the same time, my laptop downloaded work but will not run it (AMD Radeon HD series). I didn't change my preferences and I have checked that they are correct to run the GPU (both on the computers and the global preferences on my account). Could this have something to do with the major crash at the end of last year? |

Hi Paul Yes - it is related to the crash at the end of last year, you're not alone in the Seti@home Drought. There is more discussion on the Panic Mode On (94) Server Problems? thread in the Number Crunching Forum. |

About 6 weeks or so ago, my desktop computer stopped receiving graphics processor work (Nvidia Geoforce 9800GT). At about the same time, my laptop downloaded work but will not run it (AMD Radeon HD series). Both your machines have out of date or "Bad" GPU drivers. Yes, there is a problem receiving work at the moment, however, you will not receive any work until you update your drivers. See, @Pre-FERMI nVidia GPU users: Important warning You need to Downgrade to at least 337.88 Your ATI host is giving; ERROR: unsupported OpenCL runtime version: OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP-SDK-v2.4 (650.9). Please update drivers! Exiting... Installing Catalyst 13.12 should correct that driver problem. |

OK. Rolled back NVIDIA to 306.97 and installed AMD Catalyst. All now appears to be well. Thanks |
