To answer your question Gordon. Vic pays property taxes on the Mobile Home, the Park pays the Property taxes on the Land. If Vic would be filing taxes here in California, he would be able to take a Non Refundable Renters Credit deduction.

Filing for taxes is something I can't do as the SSA/IRS says SSI is not taxable since SSI is unearned income, so there are more than a few things I can't do, Congress could fix SSI and update the law, but chooses not to, SSI is not popular enough I was told.

Though I can get a loan or a mortgage, though I am rather limited in what I can afford.

And in your case it will never be. Just be happy. I don't mind filing returns, but most people out there don't.

@David I love my one cent books and don't mind spending $3.99 in shipping, since most are hardcovers from Goodwill and in prime condition.

I would like to see Amazon accept Paypal tho. One big negative.

Get a Paypal Master Card Debit card, then Amazon can accept Paypal, I have My card backed up by My checking account. Though on a mortgage, I think I've got that figured out, but I won't talk about that in this thread.

Quite few people up in arms about Prime membership it seems.

MSE: Been charged for unwanted Amazon Prime? Here's how to cancel

When i signed up for the Amazon Prime free trial (i got a six month trial rather than the usual 30 days for being a 'student') it was perfectly clear to me that after the allotted time i would be charged unless i'd cancelled beforehand. As it was, i liked the extra features so didn't cancel, but just shows how many people don't read what they're clicking, and then try to blame someone else.

I plan on keeping my Prime as I now have a FireTV with my new 40" TV.

In my case, it would be that I forgot when the six month period was up. (If I had signed up.)

Me too David, last time I took advantage of that, I almost did forget.

I recently fixed 2 LCD monitors(a 19" and a 20", both approximately 16:9 type) with parts that I bought off of ebay though, the 2nd one was harder than the first, but with an internet search, I figured out how to crack that case open and yes it was a bit painful on the fingers.
