I apologize for my motherboard post being in this thread, for some reason the moderator moved it here. It didn't belong in the Milestone thread and I didn't know where else to move it, apologies. The Milestone thread is for milestones only. You can always start a new thread concerning your motherboard:) rOZZ Music Pictures |

I can confirm, where S@H is concerned, the past tense of split is indeed splat. By extension, the process is splatter (or splattering) - the devices would then be splatters (or splatterers). /facetious font Member of the 20 Year Club |

Now, it's PANIC though again. AP Splitters/Splatters, are splutting errors all over the place. Expect the AP database and splitt/splatt/splutters to be taken off line soon. The kitties hate it when AP goes splatt...... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

lol.. my mother used to have a glass of water on the night stand, and for weeks, she was confused and trying to figure out why the glass was almost empty every morning. ...until she heard something and woke up one night and saw the cat shoulder-deep, ears folded back, drinking all the water out of the glass. She went PSSH and he panicked and scrambled, tumbled off of the night stand, got soaked with what was left in the glass, and never did that again. Anyway, looks like AP splitting ..splatting(?) is waiting for more tapes. I remember discussing this "splat" idea before, I think it went something along the lines of: "there are still tapes to split." "the splitters are chugging along." "all the tapes have been split." or.. "all the tapes are splat." "the splat channels have a lot of errors." Basically, it should be an 'i' when present or future tense, or 'a' when past-tense. This is officially wrong, however, because the English language is full of weird things, including this one, which seems logical, because in other words that are structured similarly, those rules apply, but not for this one. Two other weird English examples: - "one mouse, many mice," so why not "one house, many hice"? - "one goose, many geese," so why not "one moose, many meese?" Okay, I'm done being way off topic now, but it was related to what was said recently, so it technically isn't off-topic.. :) Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Crap, even AP validation have stopped now. All AP's goes to pending, even those finished by wingman too. Yup, with the AP database down, no assimilation or credits.... But a nice boost when it comes back up. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Ya know, I had just realized that after my last post....I was getting AP credit even with the AP DB offline. You are correct, my mistake. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Well if they don't fix the AP issues before they go home for the weekend, I will go into real panic, and assume fetal position for the rest of my weekend :-) I think that will be a given, hopefully back up on Monday, but.......... Luckily my AP hoppers are full enough to get through til ........Wednesday? ":D "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

The bandwidth had been up for the past 2 hours & at least resends are going out. As of 30 Jan 2015, 21:10:04 UTC AP Database is disabled, all tapes show (done) on AP side. AP Assimilators are disabled (due to DB being down>). So no clock, no tic-tock........... "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

It is odd; server status shows everything AP is down. Graphs are showing AP work in progress & received last hour all dropping. AP validation & assimilation backlogs continue to grow. Yet outbound network traffic has been over 300mb/s for over 5 hours now. There are a lot of MB shorties around at the moment, but not that many- splitter output is barely above 30/s, and in the past that hasn't been nearly enough to keep the ready-to-send buffer full when there are shorties about. Yet the ready-to-send buffer is being kept full. Grant Darwin NT |

Mayhap other stuff is being sent out? (Like when the blue line goes up in the 200mb/s range for several hours, AP data is being sent to the Servers, roughly 1 tape/hour). Now what might it be? |
