I just took a look at the status page http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html and noticed that although we have 7 AP splitters up and running, there are only 5 files being split. Can anyone explain to this senile old man, why we have either 2 splitters running idle or 2 splitters working one file. It has been this way for quite some time now and it's very puzzling. Also is there a way for us common folk to see which splitter is working on which file? I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

They're not idle as 3 splitters are currently working on 1 file (26fe14ag) and this type behaviour has been going on for quite some time now (either 3 or 4 splitters doing the same file). ;-) Cheers. |

Next -- How is it you can see what files the splitters are working on and I can't. Can you please provide a link so that us other common folk can see what is going on behind the scenes. How is it you can see what files the splitters are working on and I can't. Can you please provide a link so that us other common folk can see what is going on behind the scenes. Home page, About, Server Status, right hand side under "Database/file status" is "Splitter status". Grant Darwin NT |

How is it you can see what files the splitters are working on and I can't. Can you please provide a link so that us other common folk can see what is going on behind the scenes. And add to that the size of the dark green portion at the beginning of each file being split. Currently 2x MB splitters are working on file 17oc14aa while there are 2 AP splitters working on files 26fe14ag and 26se14aq, this not only slows down the file being split , but also greatly reduces the production rate. Cheers. |
