Who needs TV or Youtube when it's only a door to real Life?
Big drama here:)
My GF is out walking our dog Tosca leeched.
Then a cat comes also leeched.
Then suddenly my GF drops the leech by accident and Tosca runs very happilly against the cat:)

Those are crinkle cut crisps.

Clearly they are ripple chips. This from the continent that invented them. You Brits should learn to speak proper English.

A bit of history about Lays potato chips. They started out as a small company around the Arizona area (though may have also been sold in the surrounding state) in the late 1960 early 1970 time period. The reason for using Arizona was because people move here from all over the country giving a very diverse population. If a product fails in this market, it will fail all over the country. If it sold poorly, surveys will tell you which part of the country the product should be marketed in.
The early slogan they were sold with was "Bet you can't eat just one" and many people found that was true. They were a big hit here and when I started traveling the country I was surprised how much of the market they had.
My favorite is their corn chips. I don't eat them often because there has to be about a million calories a bag.

Yes Bill. Reffle means räffla that is crincle cut potatoes.
Use a mandolin to make them.
And we do have "normal" chips as well...

You could also make tacos, crayfish chips and cheese chips:)

@Dena I love corn chips...

From Wiki: "In 1932, salesman Herman Lay opened a snack food operation in Dorset, Ohio; and, in 1938, he purchased the Atlanta, Georgia, potato chip manufacturer "Barrett Food Company", renaming it "H.W. Lay Lingo & Company." Lay criss-crossed the southern United States, selling the product from the trunk of his car. In 1961, the Frito Company founded by Elmer Doolin and Lay's merged to form Frito-Lay Inc., a snack food giant with combined sales of over $127 million annually. In 1965, Frito-Lay merged with the Pepsi-Cola Company to form PepsiCo]], Inc."

I worked the summer of 1965 as an apprentice electrician and the Lay Potato Chip factory in Denver was one of the customers I did work for. I'll never forget the 55 gallon open barrels next to the 'line' filled with delicious, warm, freshly fried 'rejects' (broken, too brown, etc) for everyone to enjoy. YUM!

I better get back to the vacuuming, crisps/chips crumbs everywhere in here...

From 1967 to 1971 The Frito Bandito was the spokesman for Fritos.

He was let go when it was determined he had no green card.

Do behave Bill :-))

USA

George Crum, a half black, half Native American cook at Moon's Lake House, who was trying to appease an unhappy customer on August 24, 1853.

UK

English food writer William Kitchiner's 1822 cookbook The Cook's Oracle

Kitchiner's "crisps" were a quarter of an inch thick! Hardly crisp. If anything, this quote may prove that the English invented Pomme Frits.

In University I lived down wind of a Frito Lay factory for several years. Took me several decades to be able to face them again.
